The propane gas appears to be leaking somewhere along the pipes under the bed area. The vehicle has not been inspected after I noticed the leak by other manufacturer, police, insurance or mechanic. However, I do smell it when turned on, I installed an auto shut off propane leak detector valve and it did shut it off after awhile of not using the propane gas. I was advised by nhtsa.gov to file a complaint on line. I saw there has been gas issues with other makes and models of the same year and noticed a complaint had not been made for models by Crossroads. Please advise. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2018 Keystone Cougar. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH and towing a fifth wheel trailer, the trailer was rocking up and down on the king pin of the trailer. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. When the contact stopped and entered the trailer, he noticed that the interior walls had buckled. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed that the floor had buckled. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had the vehicle taken to the manufacturer who diagnosed that the walls needed to be straightened. The vehicle was repaired. The contact received a recall notice from the manufacturer that braces needed to be welded on the outriggers to keep the frame from bending. The contact related the recall to the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

While traveling with the trailer the slide topper blew off the the holders. It did not come of the trailer complete but if it would have the roller could have become a projectile and damage a vehicle coming from behind. I believe it should have had two screws in the front and rear holder so if a screw bloke the other one would protect the roller. The one I had only had one screw installed but there is a second hole for a second screw. The screw not the front holder was not installed correctly because you can see where it is broke off. I have photos to show the broken off screw.

The axle hanger weld on the passengers side of the 5th-wheel broke and the axle shifted forward in which the tires rubbed together while doing driving on the highway. Luckily we stopped to get gas when this was noticed. If we had not stopped for gas the situation could have been very bad up to and including death. We have pictures and still have the part if inspection is requested. We were in the middle of nowhere TX and stayed overnight at an RV park near next door to the gas station. The next day we spent 2 hours contacting mobile RV companies and welders to come look at and fix the damage. The damage was looked at by TW welding and construction as they were the only company available to come look at and fix this so we could get back on the road so we could get home to CO. There was no warning lamps or messages as this is a 5th-wheel. Looking this up it appears that there have been several recalls on this particular part in the past and when calling Keystone, Dexter Axle and Lippert they stated they knew of this part failing before but our unit was not included in the recall. This issue has been fixed on newer models (my parents have a 2021) and the hangers are reinforced. No one wants to own this yet it is a known problem.

The contact owns a 2021 Keystone Arcadia Fifth Wheel 3660RL. The contact stated that while the fifth wheel was being towed, the brakes became inoperable. The check wiring and trailer connected check message was displayed. The contact stated there was abnormal whining and tapping noise detected. The contact called the local dealer who informed the auto-reset breaker was causing the noise. The contact's wife called him and informed him there was an abnormal burning odor in the vehicle and it caught fire. A person at the RV park was able to unplug the Fifth wheel from the power unit. There were no reported injuries. The fire department extinguished the fire. The police were on the scene and a report was filed. The front battery and wires were fired and damaged. The vehicle was towed to an independent lot. The manufacturer was notified but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.

This for a fifth wheel. I had a fire sparked from the 120V connection in my camper. Luckily I was at my campsite and it happened during the day, and I was able to extinguish the fire before it got worse. I paid for the repair and I am still waiting for reimbursement from manufacturer. I also stated to them that I wanted my unit inspected because of the safety concerns. The camper has a recall that has to do with wiring that I was told I need it to take care of myself by contacting a servicing dealer. I have tried reaching out to two dealers with no response. Due to the nature of the recall and the fire I already had, it is my opinion that Keystone isn’t taking this matter serious. This fire could have caused severed bodily harm if not acted upon promptly. Safety recall 21V-368; Safety advisory 21-409; June 18, 2021.

All four brakes wore out pads and damaged the drums in under 1360 miles. The trailer frame shop where I had new brakes installed (Smiley's Pro Services, 920 W Pearl Jensen Way, LA Conner WA 98287-4720. Ph # 360-466-3629. Invoice #74287) said they had seen this happen to two other trailers in the previous month. The replaement brakes were installed in November 2021. The brakes that failed are DEXTER "NEV-R-ADJUST." PART#4376973, SR#612563828 and SR#61256382? Trailer is a 2021 Keystone Alpine Model 3220RL Fifth Wheel. I have the brakes that failed.

There are 4 bolts that hold the backing plate to the axle. All 4 were missing from one of the wheels. The brakes of that wheel were over heating to the point of billowing out smoke. We called the dealer and the tech thought a stuck brake. Told me how to cut the wires for just that wheel. Trailer was dropped off at the dealer for repair and is available to view. I also took two photos. I feel as though there was a risk of our wheel falling off, potentially causing us to roll the trailer or the wheel hitting someone else.

Spontaneous increase in propane supply levels causing heating equipment to overheat. No inspection has taken place because manufacturer cites lack of replacement parts for warranty replacement.
