2017 Range Rover sport The rear middle seat belt retractable does not lock and retract. When driving ,middle passenger seat belt is only lock due to seat belt issues. I got estimate from rover range to fix issue of $600.00 will supply repair when dealer finish with issues.

The timing chain collapsed while driving. The engine started a loud clanking noise decelerated and would not restart.

About a month or so ago, it was raining and I got into my car to drive home from work. I only live about 1.5 miles down the road from my residence and this is the distance I drive (to and from) most days unless I have errands. I noticed I felt a drop of water on the top of my pant leg (mid thigh) but just thought it was where I was getting in the car and scraped against something. As we have had more rain the last couple of weeks, gradually I have noticed drops of water running (interior) down the windshield. Last week it started dropping pretty badly on my clothes and steering wheel so I immediately started wiping it up so that it didn't get inside the electronics. I also purchased a Damp Rid to put in the car until I can get it repaired. Other than driving it back and forth to work, to run errands around town and periodically to see my mother (who lives 30 miles away), the car is garage kept all other times. We don't even take it on vacation as we use my husband's vehicle. I have never had this problem before so I started researching online and noticed there were others having the same problem with Land Rover vehicles. In their experience, they contacted their local Land Rover dealer to take a look at the windshield seal and said it was just wear and tear. I realize my vehicle is now 7 years old (I purchased it in 2020 with 51K miles and it is a 2017 model and just rolled over to 64K miles) but it seems that it has happened too many times to others for it not to be a common denominator. I have not taken pictures but will be glad to submit them when I do. Was going to contact my insurance and local windshield repair company today as we do not have a local Land Rover dealer.

Unsure what first came on but the check engine light came on there would be no issues when driving nor lack of power, then filled up my tank and first try the engine would stall second try engine would take a longer time to roll over and revs would slightly fluctuate almost sounding like it would stall out again but didn’t after and when ever starting up the vehicle nothing else happened after with that issue only when fueling up. but brought my vehicle to a Land Rover dealerships, they next tried diagnosing my vehicle found a small P0442 small evap leak didn’t find anything then did a smoke test and still didn’t find anything wanted to do a much bigger pricey diagnostic, I declined had the check engine light taking off but gas cap warning would appear later down the line then the check engine light would come on again. I changed the gas cap had past codes erased and things lasted a little longer then before but still came back on.

My SUV currently has 55K miles. The pin came out of the timing chain and the car stopped on a major bridge. The dealership charged me $4,294.24 to fix the vehicle. I thought this was surprising because cars should not have issues with the timing chain this early and below 100K miles. I did a search on the internet and found out there is a petition currently going on right now on change.gov. [XXX] The petition says "Make Jaguar Land Rover recall vehicles with potential timing chain issues." There are thousands of people like me who are experiencing this same issue and the dealerships are charging them thousands of dollars to fix the timing chain when it should actually be a "recall." Please investigate this issue with Jaguar Land Rover and make the issue with the timing chain a major recall. When ever playing music through loud or soft volumes I can hear a static sound coming from all speakers. The static like noise can be heard more your phone is connected through usb through apple/android car play on both usb connector ports. when using just bluetooth its not as noticeable but can sometimes still hear it. When using just the radio am/fm setting its not as present but you will get a little static noise. Note my RRS has the 825 watt meridian sound system so when adjusting the bass, treble or sub the static can still be present even at different volumes. Note the cables to the usb have been changed and are new when trying to see if its the phone cable or not but still the noise is present. I am just wondering if it may entail to a software update that is needed on the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated there was smoke coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that a message appeared on the instrument cluster that the vehicle was overheating and to pull over. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the cooling system had failed, and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that there was a strong odor of fuel inside the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that there was a cracked fuel tank flange assembly. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V490000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

THE VEHICLE IS DOING THE EXACT BEHAVIOR OF TECHNICAL BULLETIN N206NAS1. THE FUEL GAUAGE INDICATES LOW FUEL AND THE LOW FUEL WARNING LAMP IS ILLUMINATED ALTHOUGH THE FUEL TANK IS KNOWN NOT TO BE EMPTY. THE ENGINE WILL CUT OFF UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING AND IT IS CONSIDERED UNSAFE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THE DEALER REFUSED TO GIVE THE VEHICLE A SERVICE UPDATE WITHOUT HAVING THE TECH CHARGE A LARGE FEE TO PLUG IN THE CAR WHEN ITS A KNOWN ISSUE. PLEASE ADVISE.

Around June of this year, my engine light came on. I took it to my technician, who cleared the code. After an accident on 7/4/23, and after picking the car up from being repaired, the engine light came on again. It is a code that indicates there is a "Cracked or faulty turbo charger". Extensive research has shown this to be a manufacturing defect, which can cause catastrophic failure. The manufacturer, Tata Motors is well aware of this problem and has been since 2011, yet they continued to build cars with this defect. The manifold that the turbo charger is attached to at the back of this transverse engine, has a weld across the entire top. A weld in a manifold of any kind is inappropriate and dangerous. The only option is to have a $6,000 repair done. This is unacceptable and I demand that Tata Motors issue a recall for the years affected.
