My vehicle is affected by Safety Recall D126 / 26V-248. The vehicle has already experienced the recall failure: loss of charging, stalling while driving, and now it will not crank at all. The dealership is refusing towing, refusing to document the safety failure, and refusing Transportation. Corporate has also refused assistance. I am left without a vehicle and unable to work. This is an unsafe condition and a violation of federal recall obligations.

I was driving my vehicle on a California freeway and it stopped at traffic signal that was red. When the light turned green and my vehicle accelerated forward the vehicle system powered down in the middle of traffic. I had the vehicle towed to a local mechanic who identified two potential causes for my vehicle powering down and one of the items referenced was the recalled dc converter. I had the vehicle towed to my local Land Rover dealership and they confirmed that a faulty dc converter was the cause. Land Rover is asking for me to purchase a new dc converter at a cost of $3,000 that is currently under recall and they are unwilling to wave the cost of the repair leaving the vehicle inoperable. I asked the Land Rover dealership to give me a quote to purchase the inoperable vehicle from me and the offered a wholesale price acknowledging that they are unwilling to pay market value because of the recall with no remedy but when a remedy is found they might be willing to purchase at current market value. I suspect the dealerships motive is to purchase my car at a wholesale price, replace the recalled part with another recalled part and sell at a outsized profit will leaving me underwater with a lender.

I have had to have the rear tailgate repaired twice, First time the tailgate would not lift, this was in Sept 2024, then the rear lower tailgate would not open it just jammed and the upper tailgate failed after repairin the lower costing me over $2000 in repairs for the 2nd repair. There is clearly an issue with the design when the rear lower tailgate would not open you could not lock the entire vehicle. This is a hazard

Ongoing battery and or electrical issues. Replace battery 3 times in 2 years. Car loses power. Replace Body Control module, tail gate lock. Car was in repair for 2 months and Never told an exact reason except there is an electrical gremlin. Dealer and manufacture could not determine cause. I have videos. Dealer was not interested in viewing. Only doing the scheduled service. Which did not fix or work as intended.

2020 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- Sparta , NJ
**Component/System:** 48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle system, including the DC/DC converter subject to JLR recall D126, MHEV battery/Battery Energy Control Module, starter generator/alternator system, 12V charging system, telematics control module, and related vehicle communication/electrical modules. The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request. **Description of Complaint:** My 2020 Land Rover Range Rover P400 MHEV, VIN [XXX], experienced serious electrical and high-voltage/MHEV system failures involving the 48V mild-hybrid system and DC/DC converter system. Before the original failure, the vehicle displayed the warning message **“High Voltage Shutdown Not Possible — System Live.”** The warning would appear on the instrument cluster while driving. The vehicle later displayed **“Stop Safely — Electrical Fault Detected.”** The vehicle then shut down while in operation, and steering assist was lost/steering became locked or extremely difficult to control. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle lost power/drive functionality and steering assistance while being operated. The vehicle was taken to Jaguar Land Rover Parsippany for the D126 DC/DC converter recall/interim repair. The DC/DC converter is part of the 48V MHEV system and manages power transfer between the 48V and 12V electrical systems. After the D126-related repair, the vehicle would not start at pickup and had to be jump-started. The dealer later diagnosed a telematics control module issue/parasitic draw, but the vehicle continued to have electrical and high-voltage warnings. After the interim DC/DC repair, the **“High Voltage Shutdown Not Possible — System Live”** warning returned while driving. The malfunction indicator/check engine light also came on. Jaguar Land Rover Parsippany confirmed fault codes INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2020 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VELAR- North Las Vegas, NV
I'm writing to report a serious safety issue with my 2020 Range Rover Velar's power tailgate. While I was inside the cargo area, the tailgate began closing on its own/unexpectedly. On a separate occasion, it closed on my [XXX] son while he was in the cargo area-I had to push him out of the way to prevent him from being crushed. Shortly after these incidents, the tailgate/latch actuator stopped functioning entirely. I took the vehicle to the dealer who quoted approximately $1300 to replace the latch assembly. Given that this malfunction has put my child at risk of serious injury, I'd like to ask: 1. Is there an open Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for tailgate latch/actuator issues on the 2020 Velar? 2. Would Land Rover consider a goodwill or policy adjustment to cover or offset this repair given the severity of the safety failure? 3. Can this incident be logged as a formal safety concern for review given the risk to a minor? The vehicle was purchased from Land Rover-Las Vegas on Roy Horn. I have also filed the complaint with Land Rover Customer Service. Thank you so much. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
