The contact owns a 2021 Lexus ES. While the contact's wife was driving at unknown speeds, the messages stating "vehicle notification system, a malfunction in the vehicle notification system has been detected, contact dealer", and "notification system malfunction visit your dealer" were displayed. The contact stated that the steering wheel automatically maneuvered to the left side of the lane and the contact's wife avoided a crash, however, the failure recurred and the contact's wife crashed into the rear bumper of a vehicle with the front bumper of the contact's vehicle. The contact stated that while the wife was depressing the brake pedal, it failed to respond and the contact's wife crashed into the vehicle a second time. No police report was filed. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

C1391 error code All brake dash lights (abs, parking brake, !) came on and brakes would not stop. I had to put my foot the floor to get the car stopped. No warning at all, lights came on and brakes instantly malfunctioned

Tranmission failure around 100k miles. Spoke to few others with similar engine and transmission from lexus who had similar issues. This could be a widespread issue. Costs between 6 to 9 thousand dollars to fix.

Engine started misfiring recently at engine cold start and from hybrid transition to engine startup. Engine light came on with reports codes P0302 and P0304. Additionally, another error code P0607 also was detected. Had a certified mechanic assess the car and replaced the four coils for the CT200h. No change in issue. New issue developed this past Monday with an engine temperature light flashing on. Stopped and put a half liter in the coolant reservoir. Engine temperature light did not come back on. Took the car to a certified mechanic and told him to pressure test the coolant system. The mechanic confirmed the head gasket is blown. In the Lexus CT200h online forum there is a clear and compelling case that the EGR malfunctioned and directly contributed to the head gasket blowing. This car has approximately 128,000 miles. The contact owns a 2011 Lexus ES350. The contact stated that the passenger’s side air bag warning light was flashing constantly. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the Occupant Classification Sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the Occupant Classification Sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V865000 (Air Bags). The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

Lexus is still not providing 2 key fobs on delivery. They are not listing the 2nd Key Program (23LJ01) as a campaign on their vehicle mobile software. The "digital key" is glitchy and not a safe and secure option - it seems to be a way for Lexus to periodically generate more profit at the expense of customer safety and security.

The fonts on the instrument panel are too small to read. Do not have this problem on current 2nd car or other cars driven.

on [XXX] traveling NB on [XXX] during a green light to make a left turn WB on [XXX] the defendant ran a red light and broadsided my 2001 RX300 Lexus and was cited. The airbags did not go off, and my head hit the windshield. The defendant was cited. I filed a claim with Toyota , case no [XXX] who inspected the totaled car at the yard tow. They stated they were unable to read the black box. They declined. There were side airbags and front air bags which should have deployed and did not. LEXUS claims the car run 27miles per gallon. But the actual miles I got only 22.1 miles after owning it for a year . THIS IS A BIG LIE. Please take appropriate action!
