The driver, passenger, and rear tailgate electronic locks have all failed in the last 6 months on the car. I'm constantly having to remind my kids and wife to lock the doors before they start driving. I'm particularly concerned about the rear cargo door. The lock is failed in the "locked" position and there is not a manual lever to pull from the interior or exterior to unlock and open the door. I no longer allow my kids to ride in the 3rd row seat out of fear that there will be an incident where I need to get them out of the Cargo door and it won't be available. The internet is full of reviews where this seems to be a widespread problem, but Lexus has not acknowledged and no formal recall has been issued. I reached out to Lexus this month to see if they would work with me on a solution, but was told my car is out of warranty. Any help would be appreciated.

The ES model and LS, the brakes squeak while ONLY going in reverse at a slow speed. I asked the mechanic at the Lexus dealership and they responded that this was common with the newer models. This is a manufacturer defect. Very embarrassing while backing up.

AC doesn't work properly. We had several incidences when we were driving from Houston (TX) to Dallas (TX) in hot summer. The AC worked well when we left Houston, however it stopped blowing cool air when we were in the middle of nowhere on highway. The air became warmer and warmer, and there isn't anyway that we can adjust the air volume nor to cool it down. We took our car to Lexus dealer for diagnosis and nothing unusual was detected. The dealer suspect the cool air clogged in condenser that blocked cool air from entering the cabin. This is truly a safety concerns to all Lexus owners. When we drive on highway, in the middle of nowhere in hot summer, the car cannot provide a comfortable environment to driver and passengers, especially for babies or older passengers. It's a safety design flaw with Lexus RX350.

I was driving approx. 60 entering on ramp of freeway when car suddenly loses power to accelerator not entire car, i almost was hit by other drivers i couldnt accelerate or anything. I panicked then started pumping accelerator then it finally catches and sped up. I immediately got off freeway. Then next day CEL, Check VSC light and skid light all came on. This car is very dangerous. WHATCAN I DO??? I refuse to use the freeway until this problem is resolved.

My Ct200h has now recently started to leak fluid from the brake system has started to malfunction due to this known problem by Lexus on their 2013 CT200h brake booster/master cylinder as well as the actuator system problem which they had previously put out a statement for. This is absolutely incomprehensible the scope of a dangerous situation this could have put my family in. Imagine if the brakes would have fully malfunctioned and I slammed into the back of a 18- wheeler, the whole top of this car is coming off including everyones heads in the car. I hope this reaches a competent individual who understands the scope of the malfunctioning in the brake system. This is supposed to slow a 2 ton car going from 65 mph to 0 at any instance, if the system malfunctions at the wrong time LIVES ARE PUT AT RISK. I have full service records through the dealer and constantly do routine maintenance with the dealer. I am highly disappointed in with this matter.

Excessive front pads wear: First replacement @13,000 miles. Second front pads replacement recommended @15,350 miles.

When parked and turning the steering wheel or driving at low speed you hear a clunk / clunck noise vehicle makes knocking noises as it jumps up and down (bumpy) or vibrates when driving You can also feel it in your hands. Also it rattles and makes noises when turning. It feels like there is no lubrication. The drive feels not only unstable but also is very distractive while driving. Took car to Lexus and was told it is steering column or shaft or both; quote around $4000 with labor. Seems like a lot of people had same problems and the steering is manufacturing defect that should be recalled as a safety concern.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? My Lexus 2020 UX200's brake malfunctioned and caused a crash accident into a restaurant on February 29th. It was inspected by Lexus Liability and an independent mechanic on March 13th, 2024. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The accident is a horrible experience for me go through when the Lexus failed to stop without fault on my part. It put myself and people in the restaurant in great risk of serious injuries. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The independent mechanic my husband and I hired conducted assessment and confirmed that the accident was caused by brake module malfunction. The Lexus freeze data shows Brake module voltage from ecu appears to have dropped to 8.6 volts prior to accident which caused the brake module malfunction. At the time of inspection, the voltage was 13.8. It appears that the voltage drops intermittently. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Manufacturer Lexus inspected the car on March 13th under product liability Case #240301000412. There is a police report. Insurance AAA totaled the car without inspecting the braking system. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The car was originally purchased as a brand new car in 2020 and regularly maintained by Lexus dealer. But the engine did not start one time with warning sign that the remote key can not be detected. Dealer replaced the car battery for this problem. There were times when the doors do not open for a few minutes. There were a few times that it seemed that the car did not come to a complete stop. There are many times that the car would jerk a bit and come to a sudden stop on its own when the car was driven normally and safely.

I started to notice that when in reverse or coming to a brake at low speeds, the brake pedal and car starts to vibrate/stutter. I have driven hybrids for the last 5 years and never had this issue before. It is very strange that the car vibrates when coming to a stop and it is on going. It happens and then it stops, but always starts up again.
