My 2023 Lexus RX350 with 67,000 miles displayed a check engine light along with a Drive-Start Control Malfunction warning. The vehicle was brought to a Lexus dealership where it was diagnosed with fault code P25B372 — Turbocharger Wastegate A Actuator Stuck Open. The dealership confirmed the wastegate actuator has failed and requires replacement. The part is currently on backorder with over 800 units backordered nationally, indicating this is a systemic issue affecting multiple vehicles. Toyota has issued Technical Service Bulletin T-SB-0084-23 covering this exact fault code on the same 2.4L turbocharged engine used in the 2023 Lexus RX350. The bulletin states the repair is covered under the Federal Emission Warranty for 96 months or 80,000 miles. However, the Lexus dealership has declined warranty coverage citing the absence of a Lexus-specific bulletin, despite the identical engine and fault code. The failure puts safety at risk as the Drive-Start Control Malfunction warning indicates loss of traction and stability control systems. The problem has been confirmed by the Lexus dealership. Warning lamps appeared on the dashboard prior to the visit. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

The passenger rear tire (235/60R19 - Michelin Primacy A/S) randomly blew out while driving at high speeds on the highway. No trauma via a pothole or other object was noted. Tire was inflated to the manufacture recommended PSI (33 PSI). No signs came up until the tire blew out. The tire just randomly decided to give out while driving.

I was driving on the highway and suddenly there was a loud explosion and the sound of hundreds of time things or debris hitting my car. Thankfully I did not hit the brakes or lose control of my vehicle, but I easily could have! I then saw little pieces of glass falling off my car from my rear view mirror. I pulled over to find that it was my sunroof. There was no impact from anything, the glass was pointed upward as if the explosion came from inside. This was incredibly scary!

Dealership rolled back the odometer to 125,460 miles, but the last service was performed at 162k miles at Lexus of Murray.

This vehicle is being sold at a dealership in Layton Utah. They have rolled back the odometer to show 119,287k miles, but the vehicle was last serviced by the Lexus dealer at 164,279 miles.

While driving the engine stalls. It has jolted back-and-forth at times and had to be taken to a dealer. It’s still stalls when trying to slowly accelerate especially uphills. Low gas mileage barely getting 18 miles per gallon. Warning lights flickering while car stallling. It’s like it’s having a seizure. This has happened a few times.

My vehicle has the V6 twin turbo engine that’s been recalled on other years and models and was diagnosed with an internal engine failure. The mechanic at the dealership couldn’t figure out the problem so an expert TAS Lexus specialist was called in and couldn’t figure out the problem either. They’ve had the car for 3 months and since they don’t know how to fix it they are telling me to just replace the engine with a used engine at a cost of $25,000. The vehicle is just out of warranty and Toyota/Lexus is refusing to cover any of the costs. The vehicle was serviced regularly so this shouldn’t have happened. This is a common problem with this model of engine. I believe it’s a design flaw as this model engine is assembled at different plants/locations and over long periods of time that would indicate a design flaw and not due to Toyota’s official stance of debris left in engine block during assembly. Toyota should recall and replace all these engines at no charge to the owner of the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2023 Lexus LX 600. The contact stated that the rearview back up camera image displayed a distorted image. Another issue, the vehicle intermittently stalled when at a complete stop and going to accelerate. The vehicle was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000.

The driver-side front door window developed a crack suddenly while the vehicle was in normal use. There was no known impact, and no object was seen or heard striking the glass. The crack originated near the edge of the window close to the side mirror and spread across the glass. There were no warning messages, alerts, or prior symptoms before the failure. The failure appeared spontaneous. This condition poses a safety concern because the integrity of the side window is compromised. The crack continued to spread, which could reduce occupant protection in the event of a side impact and may lead to sudden shattering. It also has the potential to affect driver visibility. The issue was not inspected by the dealership prior to repair. The dealership advised that they could not perform the repair in-house and directed the repair to a third-party glass facility, where the window was replaced. No definitive impact point was identified prior to replacement. Based on the fracture pattern and lack of impact evidence, the failure appears consistent with a stress-related crack rather than road debris damage. Additionally, there are multiple reports from other owners describing similar cracks occurring in the same location on this vehicle model, suggesting a possible defect trend. The original failed component is no longer available for inspection, as it was replaced during repair.

On two occasions while driving my hood has become open due to windy conditions coming from the Makua side of the highway as I’m driving on the Queen Kaahumanu Highway Today was the second incident except that I was heading south The first time that happened I was driving north and it occurred probably about a few months ago, but I dismissed it I know for a fact that I did not open the engine compartment I will download my front camera files and see if I can find a record
