While I was driving on the highway in cruise control, my car suddenly broke the cruise setting, slowed down, and the check engine light turned on. I pulled over and the car would not accelerate to over about 15-20 mph. I made it to an auto center, where they informed me that the reader said there was an issue with one of the fuel pumps. I am aware that there is a recall on fuel pumps in this model of vehicle and I believe that I experienced this defect.

While driving on [XXX] in [XXX] with my young child in the vehicle, my 2023 Lexus RX 350 F Sport suddenly lost acceleration. The vehicle initially would not accelerate beyond 50 mph and then progressively lost power, eventually being unable to accelerate beyond 40 mph. This occurred during rush-hour traffic, with vehicles traveling faster than me and passing closely. I attempted to move farther onto the shoulder because I felt unsafe being so close to traffic, but the vehicle became completely unable to drive. I had to stop and attempt to determine what was wrong with the vehicle. There were no warning lights, dashboard warnings, or notifications through the Lexus app before or during the incident. I had driven approximately 200 miles that day and had not noticed any unusual noises, odors, and nothing sounded abnormal prior to the failure. The vehicle had been regularly serviced every 5,000–10,000 miles. Its most recent service was in late March 2026, four months before this incident, and I was not informed of any transmission problems at that time. The vehicle had 80,000 miles at the time of the failure, and the scheduled transmission service/check was not due until 90,000 miles. The vehicle was taken to Lexus for diagnosis. Lexus determined that the transmission needed to be replaced and is holding my vehicle as transmissions are on back order. Lexus has agreed to cover the replacement transmission and is charging me $1800 for labor costs. I am reporting this incident because the sudden loss of acceleration and eventual complete loss of the ability to drive occurred while traveling on a freeway with a child in the vehicle and surrounding traffic, creating a significant safety concern. We have had 2 windshields crack on the Lexus TX350, with very low impact to the windshield by very small road debris. Both windshields require(d) replacement due to long migrating cracks. There are several issues with the windshields on the TX350 per online searches. The windshields are a laminated acrylic one that are prone to cracks requiring replacement. This is a common issue on the TX350. The windshields are on long back orders for a genuine Lexus part. We are having our second windshield replaced on XXX at the Lexus dealer. I am of the opinion that this issue should be looked into by NHTSA for a potential recall and improved manufacturing process for future original equipment and genuine Lexus replacement. Our TX350 will be available for inspection on XXX at Parker Lexus in Little Rock Arkansas. The approximate cost to replace the windshield is $1850.00. We are not claiming the windshield on our insurance for this replacement for fear of potentially being cancelled by our insurance company. Please research this issue at your earliest convenience and feel free to request more information from me if needed to help in the assessment of the problem. We look forward to hearing from you asap. Thank You! [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2026 Lexus RZ-450E. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and attempting to start the vehicle, the driver’s side door failed to respond. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to dealer, and the contact was informed that the data communication module had drained the battery and needed to be replaced. The dealer updated the software and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure had occurred approximately twelve times with the driver’s side door. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the dealer could replace the data communication module only after a software update was performed. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on two separate occasions. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.

The rain-sensing wiper system in my 2023 Lexus RX has been inoperative since I purchased the vehicle in May 2023 (current mileage: approximately 55,000 miles). The automatic wipers consistently fail to activate in response to rain, requiring manual operation while driving — a dangerous distraction that significantly reduces safety, especially during heavy rainfall when visibility is already compromised. This defect has been present since the day of purchase and is therefore a manufacturing defect, not a wear-and-tear issue. Lexus has since officially confirmed this through TSB L-SB-0025-25, which specifically addresses rain-sensing wiper failure in certain 2023 RX models. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Rather than visiting a dealership, I filed a complaint directly with Lexus Customer Care after discovering through owner forums that multiple dealerships had been unable to diagnose or repair this issue, with all repair requests being turned away. A case number was assigned by Lexus Customer Care, documenting that this defect was reported within the warranty period. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared at any point. The system simply never functioned correctly from the time of purchase. Although the vehicle's warranty limit is 50,000 miles, this defect existed from the manufacturing stage and was formally reported to Lexus well within the warranty period. I believe this repair should be covered regardless of the current mileage, and I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter.

After sitting all night -- Started the car which started normally. But the instrument gauge cluster remained totally black except for the warning symbols in test cycle. The infotainment screen started properly. But the gauge cluster remained black. No speedometer, gas gauge, tire pressure etc. Just black. Tried multiple times, turned on and off, killed the electronics by holding the volume button, got out and opened the hood then opened the fuse box and found nothing wrong (pressed and wiggled the fuses) no loose fuses. opened the door and got back in. Car and all gauges started but the center gauge cluster took longer than normal to boot. That was in mid June 2026 2 months ago and has not reoccurred. In searching for solution discovered that the opening and closing and reentering the car is a workaround (sometimes) so I think it was the fix.

Our 19-month old Lexus NX450h with under 7,000 miles on it was not driven for a week. When we went to start the vehicle this morning, the car would not unlock via the keyfob, credit card key or app. The car required AAA to open the doors and jump start it. This is a very common failure with the 12-volt battery in the Lexus NX hybrids. This could result in a motorist being left stranded somewhere.

After slowly making a left into a parking space at Dunkin Donuts and trying to deploy my brakes, my car lunged forward spontaneously accelerating, jumped two curbs and hit a barrier and the window of the store. The impact of the crash wrecked my front end and the radiator was damaged and was laying on the ground. With this intense impact, the airbags did not deploy on impact. My insurance agency totaled the car. After the crash the warning came on the screen that the Collision System had malfunctioned.
