The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln MKZ. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that the dealer refused to flush the braking system with DOT 4 fluid as per the recall remedy since there was no failure with the braking system. The dealer would only install a new brake fluid reservoir cap. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that since there was no failure with the braking system, the dealer would only install a new brake fluid reservoir cap. The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln MKZ. The contact had initially received a recall notice for NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part was unavailable. The contact also stated that while driving at various speeds, the brakes would intermittently fail to operate as needed and would depress to the floorboard without warning. The contact then received a second recall notice which stated that parts were now available. The contact called the dealer and despite receiving the letter, he was informed that the parts were still unavailable. They've yet to find a remedy for either of these recalls. I'm complaining because I'd hate for someone to end up hurt before they figure out how to fix this. It's been 2yrs on the brake recall, this is getting rediculous

Car brakes in front of my son, hit the brakes they did not respond pedal went to floor. Car did slow but ended up rear ending car in front of us.
