2017 Lincoln MKZ with 53k miles check engine light comes on and dealership diagnostic shows leaking coolant in cyl #2/needs motor. Car out of warranty so cost of repair is out of my pocket. Lincoln has known about this since 2016...they leased the car out in 2017 and then sold it to me in 2019 KNOWING there was a defective engine in the vehicle but didn't do or say anything about it...NEVER any recall. How is it that there are 100k 2021-2022 trucks and suv's being recalled due to engine issue that could "lead to catastrophic engine damage resulting in a loss of power". I could of suffered a loss of power as well with the defective engine that was in my car. How is this sudden recall on these trucks and suv's any more important or severe than all of the Ford/Lincoln vehicles that had engine issues? This could have been easily rectified early on seeing they knew about this issue from the beginning. I want my money back I paid to get my engine repaired.

My 2007 Lincoln MKX was in Drive with the brake depressed waiting to back up into a traffic lane from an angled parking space in front of a small shop in our historic downtown area. Suddenly, the vehicle accelerated forward at a high rate of speed jumping the shallow curb and slamming into the cement foundation of the store. Continuing to depress the brakes made no difference in stopping the jarring unintended forward motion. The speed moving forward was so high that in the 10-12 feet from the curb to the store entrance the impact demolished the entire front of the vehicle even bending the front axels. The airbags did not deploy at all. The witness interviewed, reported loud screeching tires as her back was to the scene during the collision. Local PD, EMS and Fire all responded, with a full police report filed. It was extremely fortunate no person was either on the sidewalk or in the entrance to the storefront. My injuries included severe bruising to the right side of my neck, as well as a hematoma on my right tibia and an oblique fracture to bones in my right foot. There were no passengers in the car with me. The accident, and extreme concern over the malfunction of the vehicle allowing it to take control away from myself as the driver, has been reported to Ford Lincoln and a claim number established. My insurance company took possession of the vehicle from the tow lot after three days after determining it was a total loss. To reiterate, there was no warning at all before the incident. I was simply waiting for traffic to clear, so I could put the vehicle from Drive into Reverse and pull out of the parking space.

There is a huge problem with my vehicle it started leaking coolant into the cylinder. The vehicle is using coolant and burning it through the exhaust. This defect in the engine block causes catastrophic failure if occuring during driving on highway can cause accident and fire.

The contact owns a 2018 Lincoln MKZ. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the engine light illuminated. While the vehicle was idling, there was an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that there was coolant intrusion into the engine and that the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

My brakes have failed on this car three times. I had new front and back brakes installed on [XXX] mileage 44882. Again my brakes failed on [XXX] mileage 47626. A new brake booster was installed along with front brakes. Again on [XXX] brakes failed again and a brake booster and front brakes were installed. Mileage 54924. Today I was driving to my daughters house in Zanesville, Ohio and my brakes failed again. My car is still down in Zanesville because I could not drive it home. The mileage is 57000. Every time this happens I risk an accident. Even though the brake booster is covered by extended warranty, because Lincoln knows about this problem, I still have to pay for brakes and other cost. May 12,2023 Manufacturer Recall Number23S23 NHTSA Recall Number23V342 Despite my repeated calls, Pugmire Lincoln of Marietta has failed to schedule a repair to my recalled rear camera. Right now, the camera works about 50% of the time and remains a dangerous situation. I have spoken to the Dealer's Maintenance Manager and the Sales Manager, who do nothing but deflect, with promises to call me back but they never do.

On two occasions i was on my way to church when the brake pedal went completely to the floor with no braking effect. i pumped the brake peddle several times and then in both instances braking was reestablished. These instances happened about a month and a half apart.

Belts dislodged on all tires. Tires have 70% tread left. My mechanic said it is manufacturing defect of Tires. SUV started shaking badly on highway

2.0 Ecoboost engine has coolant intrusion issues due to manufacturing defect and is causing the vehicle to be unsafe to drive

Lincoln/Ford knowingly designed an engine where the head gasket is unable to properly seal and overtime causes intrusion of coolant into the cyclinder causing overheating. This results in the need to replace the ENTIRE engine block. They are aware of the issue and continued to build these engines with the KNOWN safety issue from 2017 - 2020 on not only Lincolns but Fords. The dealerships are aware of the issues, the corporate companies are aware of the safety issues and still there is no recall on these. They wont even help pay for the new engine. My car only has 43,000 miles on it! I should not be replacing an engine already for this known safety issue. This should be recalled immediately. I was driving my young children 3 and 1 around when the coolant overheated and it could have or ceised as I am driving or caught on fire. Someone should not have to die in order for a recall to happen. Lincoln/Ford need to make this right before someone dies. They knew of this issue when they designed it and continued to make them until 2020.
