2024 MAZDA CX-90 PLUG-IN HYBRID- Morton Grove, IL
When radar cruise control is on, the car sometimes brakes hard totally unexpectedly when it’s about to overtake to a slower-moving vehicle in the adjacent right lane, and despite the fact that the CX-90 does not have any vehicle directly in front of it in its lane. This happens quite regularly at highway, when I am guetting within 100-200 ft of a semi located on the adjacent right lane, even when the road is at right. I almost got rear ended at 75mph by another vehicle because of that, as they did not expect my car to brake while overtaking a semi at that speed with no car in front of me. Very dangerous and needs to be fixed by Mazda.

- Driver's side view mirror, vibrates constantly at speeds over 55 mph - When changing lanes, or looking at blind spots on the highway objects in driver's side mirror are blurry / blurred, due to the vibrations coming through the mirror. It causes focusing issues, ensuring objects and other cars are or aren't close by. I immediately look to passenger side mirro, which has no vibration or blurred vision at all, look to rear view mirror, which is also fine. - I had Mazda technicians confirm the problem, in fact it is a problem on many others, including the CX-90 loaner I had while the Mazda dealer had my car. - Apparently, it is a "Known" issue, but Mazda does not have a fix for it. - Very concerning, a brand new vehicle doesn't have vibration absorbing material built in to the mirror to stop this from happening - If you roll down the window, and put your finger on the mirror glass, you will get a clear picture of what is behind you / beside you.

The drivers-side mirror experiencing a vibration at speeds greater than 40 miles an hour distorting the view, making it blurry, particularly at night. This problem has been inspected by the dealer and they say that there is currently no fix from Mazda. This ONLY occurs on the drivers-side and apparently is widespread on the trim for this car that has the folding mirrors. T This is a safety issue and Mazda should be required to implement a fix.

Component: Driver side mirror. Issue: When the vehicle is above 50 mph, the mirror vibrates and obscures driver's view, which could lead to death/serious injury. Passenger side mirror is steady. When: The issue happened since first day of vehicle ownership. But it was not reported to dealership until 3 weeks after delivery (i.e.Sep 12, 2023) Dealership Inspection: The dealership acknowledged the issue but nothing couldn't be done to remediate because manufacture doesn't have a solution.

I was driving on the freeway on the fast lane and the vehicle slowed from 65mph to zero in about 30 seconds and came to a complete stop. It happened so fast I couldn’t change lanes to get to a safe spot. I was left stranded on the fast lane of the freeway with traffic coming right at me. Vehicle displayed a Hybrid system malfunction message.

The driver-side mirror has a lot of vibration when driving on the highway (60+ MPH). This vibration creates a distraction, and reduces visibility of cars/objects in the mirror. The issue has not been brought to attention to the dealer although seems to be a widely occurring issue amongst these cars.

The driver side mirror glass vibrates and shakes inside the mirror housing at high speeds, over 50mph. The vibrating glass makes it hard to see objects behind the vehicle or judge distance on the driver side. The passenger side mirror glass is unaffected, does not vibrate, and I can clearly see objects behind the vehicle on passenger side. Additionally, the mirror housings on both sides of the vehicle seem to be tightly attached to the doors. The vibration is strictly isolated to the glass inside the mirror housing on driver side.

I use car washes that require you to put the car in neutral and the car wash has a device that pulls the car through. Upon exit, you are supposed to put the car into drive and drive away. But unfortunately the car will not go into drive. An error message pops up that tells me I can’t go into drive. I then have to quickly hit the brake, put the car in park, and then into drive so I can pull away. This is dangerous if there is a car behind you in the car wash because you have almost no time to react. This has happened at least 5 times, and next time I’ll have the camera ready to capture the message that comes up. It seems as though the car only allows you to move forward in neutral for a certain amount of time or distance before it has the error.
