After driving on slight up or down hill with headlights on, I'm getting Headlight malfunction warning on my almost brand new (700 miles) Miata.

"Sticky Steering" was fixed under a recall during a previous owner of my car. The issue has reappeared causing the steering wheel to stick when making turns or adjustments. The steering wheel often fails to retun to center on its own while driving down the road, and requires force to unstick it. This obviously creates a safety risk as the steering can be unpredictable while driving. The issue has not yet been inspected as I am waiting to find out if it will be addressed under warranty, though it is a known issue and concern with this vehicle. Not warnings or messages have appeared prior to this issue.

While driving on the highway (50mph), the sunroof had shattered unexpectedly. The sunroof itself was not open, but the visor was open so the glass fell into the car, onto the driver, the passenger and into the backseats. The glass shattering sounded like a gunshot which startled us while on the highway, and the broken glass cut the driver.

Blind Spot Monitor detecting phantom objects at highway speeds with no other vehicles around. Speeds between 69-75mph. Right Passenger side blind spot light turns for up to 20 seconds, turns off, then turns on again.

Steering will get stuck on turns or curves causing excessive force and jerking to re-center wheel and avoid Vehicle driving in un-intended direction, almost causes accidents.

The front passenger side headlight is making a whirring noise whenever the light is turned on. Based on the NHTSA safety reports for this model, this indicates the fan is failing, and soon the headlight will also fail. Intact headlights are essential for driving safety at night. No warning messages have appeared on the car.

The rear wheel bearing failed at approximately 50k miles, causing grinding noise, humming, vibration, steering pull. It was replaced by Mazda under warranty in 2025. The wheel bearing failed again at approximately 59k miles. I have seen reports from other CX-30 owners describing the same recurring wheel bearing failure. This is a known issue that Mazda has not been resolving for the owners and there need to be a recall for this issue.

At about 6:50am July 7th 2026, I was getting in the exit lane of interstate 50 to exit. I merge into the lane and being applying my breaks since I was going about 55-60mph. However, my vehicle did not slow down. I began to press harder, it still did not slow down, so I pressed as hard as I could because I was rapidly approaching stopped vehicles. The vehicle began to make a grinding sound, it started shaking, and then a "break" light appeared on the instrument panel. After this it came to a sudden and violent stop. I have taken it to the dealership for similar issues many times since I got the vehicle in October 2025. Each time they state that they cannot replicate the issue and the vehicle operates as it should. It is under warranty so I have not taken anywhere other than the Mazda dealership.

Following a period of heavy rainfall, I entered my vehicle and began to drive off when an excessive amount of water suddenly poured into the cabin from the overhead console (where the light and sunroof switches are located). ?To investigate the source of the leak, I opened the sunshade but found no residual water or permanent staining inside. Moving to the exterior, I verified that the sunroof was fully sealed, but I did notice an unusual gap/channel gutter between the top of the windshield and the roofline. ?I took the vehicle to the dealership the following day. While there, I learned that another 2026 CX-90 was brought in at the exact same time for the identical issue. The dealership's technician inspected my vehicle and found that the flap at the bottom of the sunroof drain was stuck. They cleared the debris, verified proper water flow, and cleaned the drains from the roof down as a precaution. They also advised me to avoid parking under trees. ?Because this is an internal gutter system, a simple clog shouldn't result in immediate, severe cabin flooding over critical electronics. This is a serious safety hazard and a design flaw. Left unaddressed, this issue poses a severe risk for electrical shorts, potential vehicle fires, and toxic mold development. This design vulnerability needs to be formally addressed by the manufacturer.

Rear cross member broke due to corrosion breaking off lateral arm from driver side of cross member, I may add the front crossmember was repaired due to recall for extreme corrosion not too long ago, as I research this problem I uncover many owners of this vehicle having the same issue in the northeast,even with much lower mileage.mazda should be held accountable.$3,926.62 for part alone on Mazda parts.com
