The contact owns a 2014 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that while parked, there was a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. In addition, there was fuel leaking from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V170000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 144,000.

Car failed while on highway driving 60 mph with the engine and power steering turning off instantly. A day prior the dash was blinking warnings. Mazda of Lodi replaced the entire transmission plus other parts. Just made it under warrantee. Would have cost 5k once expired.was told half the fleet of 2019 were recalled but not the second half of production for some reason even though they both experience the same failure.. also had 22,000 miles at end of the. Something smells in Denmark

The car had a (SUA) Sudden Unintended Acceleration malfunction. No, the car was totaled and towed away. My safety was put at risk as I was slowly pulling into a parking spot, eased my foot onto the brake and this malfunction caused my car to involuntarily jolt into a rampant high speed. It jumped a curb and crashed into a tree. My brake was useless in stopping this runaway vehicle. The only thing that stopped it was that tree! The airbag deployed and I was badly bruised from the airbag. Fortunately, there were no pedestrians or other cars near mine. There were no warning lights or messages before, during or after the accident. It happened so quickly because the tree was only a few feet in front of my car.

Low oil light came on at 52,764 miles, 300 miles before the next oil change on the manufacturer-recommended 7500 mile schedule. I've switched to a 5000 mile oil change schedule and will be monitoring oil level going forward for excessive oil consumption. I have always done oil changes every 7500 miles and have followed all other maintenance prescribed in the manual.

The vehicle starting stalling, check engine light would come on, and the vehicle would slipped into “limp mode” while traveling on the freeway. I was amount in two auto collisions because of the vehicle slowing down in the middle of the highway. The problem started in August 2023 and was towed to the dealer on one occasions and towed to my home on another occasion. The dealer ran a diagnostic and said it was the brand new battery I had installed and then the catalytic converter. After repairing both; the vehicle proceeded to not drive over 30 miles per hour. The dealer said it was the engine and then said it was something else. I’ve expressed that the symptoms are those more aligned to the PCM issue recalled on 2019. A actual diagnostic report from Auto Zone supports this. The vehicle has also been inspected by another Mazda dealer and a stand alone mechanic.

Hello, I have been to a Mazda dealer complaining of clicking and squeaky brakes for 2 years now. Dealer replaced both front and back breaks and rotors around 22k year ago and to my surprise the issues persist, currently vehicle is at 49k. There is a TSB( 04-001/22) out for my vin and year, so they know its a manufacturing defect and all they do is throw white break grease and a month later the noise is there again when breaking , backing up. I am not the only one, people of reddit confirm this and so does a general google search. Besides that i love the car and the dealer was super cool about it all but I'm sorry, this is unacceptable, Every time i go get an oil change i ask about a fix and nothing.

Twice now, my 2017 Mazda CX-5 stalled on the highway with a check engine light popping up--both times was driving around 60-70mph for a couple of hours and had about a quarter tank of gas left. The first time, no code was found, but the second time, after a deeper diagnostic, the dealership found a P0192 code. After reading here and many other places online, based on the code and the car's behavior, it really sounds like the Denso low-pressure fuel pump is to blame; that's the source of the recall for 2018 and 2019 Mazda CX-5s experiencing this same issue [XXX] ). If the 2017 model also uses that fuel pump, why isn't it included in the recall? If this dangerous and erratic car behavior is due to a faulty part, it really should be covered by the recall. The vehicle – display has a ghosting issue with the screen keeps on changing without me, touching the controls. It will switch from one function to another function independently, and sometimes the screen goes blank. This display was replaced under recall in 2020 and I’m starting to have similar problems now in 2024 for the last 10 months. When the screen goes blank, this compose a safety hazard.

On [XXX], I was heading home from Brooklyn. It was a rainy day. The vehicle was functioning fine when all of a sudden the sign on the dashboard said "Iactive sense deactivated" which is something that always happens when it's raining. It had happened the Thursday prior to the accident when heading to the city and many other times. I had just crossed the George Washington Bridge, on [XXX] , going the speed limit or less, when the the iactive sense sign came up. About 1000 feet after I saw the sign and repeating it to my daughter the vehicle tried to get into the right lane, I was in the left lane of three lanes. I knew it was the iactive sense because i had felt it before many times. I braked and controlled the vehicle back into the left lane. said, "I can see the lane" The vehicle then sped on, moved right, then sped all the way right into the guardrail, all the while I tried to brake and turn left to avoid hitting the guardrail but the wheel was locked and the brake did not work. My right arm got hit by the air bag deploying. After hitting the guardrail we span all the way back into the left lane with the vehicle facing the opposite direction facing on coming traffic. I then hit the hazard lights a few times out of panic, then I had my daughter crawl to me (she was sitting behind me) in the front so we can get out because I thought there was smoke. Turns out it was the airbags' powder, according to the fire department. Another lady who was from the NYPD stopped to see what happened and I explained to her what happened and then the NJ police showed up and she left. When the police got there, I told him what happened. He repeated, "you lost control" at which I said "no the vehicle took control" From my observation the vehicle was like was angry and confused about where to stay and hitting something was the only way it would stop. At 49k miles and 4 months out of warranty, the car began leaking oil and smelling like smoke. The dealer diagnosed with a cracked cylinder head and repaired it.
