My car senses a vehicle in a lane to the left or right of me as a vehicle in my lane and slams on the breaks. There is a recall on this with Mazda, but not for my manufacturing date yet. It's very dangerous. Occurs all of the time

The contact owns a 2018 Mazda CX5. The contact stated that after cold starts, the vehicle hesitated and jerked upon depression of the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer on numerous occasions. The contact was repeatedly informed that no fault was found with the vehicle. The dealer later performed a software update on the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V875000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) which was linked to the failure. The screen/head unit in my car is registering ghost touches. Basically the screen thinks it's being touched even though it isn't. This causes much distraction and hinders the use of the screen because if I try to actual use the head unit, the ghost touch overrides my input which makes it unusable.

My car has never had any issues but began burning through coolant. After analyzing myself and then bringing to a mechanic, it has a bad cylinder head leak. This is a design flaw in the motors of Mazda cars during the years of the models with a 2.5 Turbo motor. This flaw will now cost me over $6k for a car just out of warranty when I religiously serviced the car at the Mazda dealer I bought it at in 2017. I cannot afford these repairs that were cause by a design flaw on Mazdas side. There is a TSB and a class action lawsuit for this exact issue. Mazda should issue a recall or help owners pay for the repairs since they have acknowledged the issue but have not made it right.

Ghost touch issue with touchscreen. It causes calls to go on hold, navigation to stop in unknown areas, sometimes in areas without service, and other distracting issues such as skipping songs. I’m fixing it, but it appears to be a common problem and it costs over $600 to fix.

I took my vehicle into the dealership service center to have maintenance and repairs done. I notified them to a coolant leak. They discovered that the engine has a cracked cylinder head and that the manufacturer is aware of the defect. They stated that they have new updated parts they will use for the repair so this will not happen again. At this time there is no Mazda warranty extension or recall that covers the cost of the repair.
