I have been the owner of a 2023 Mazda CX-30 since July 2023. On [XXX], 2023, I received automated warnings on the dashboard and through the Mazda App stating, "ActiveSense system malfunction. ActiveSense advanced safety and driver support system may not operate correctly." The service department at the dealership where I purchased the car explained that the sensors had overheated due to the hot weather. Unfortunately, a similar warning appeared on the dashboard on [XXX], and this time it resulted in damage to the car. On that day at 13:33, while maneuvering into a parking spot in the parking garage with my foot on the brake pedal, the car suddenly and rapidly accelerated and collided with a concrete post. Fortunately, I am unharmed but shaken, and the front of the car sustained damage. Immediately after the incident, I contacted the service department, explained the situation, and requested an emergency service to assess the car. The service department conducted checks on the brakes and suspension, performing a full-circle inspection. Their report stated, "Could not find any evidence to support the customer's claim." The service advisor expressed disbelief in the issue I described, stating he had not heard of such problems before. Contrary to the service advisor's disbelief, records on NHTSA.gov reveal numerous instances of sudden unintended acceleration while pushing on brakes for Mazda CX cars (CX5, CX30, CX50). These instances have occurred and have been reported nationally/across numerous states in the USA. I am urging Mazda to thoroughly investigate all reported complaints, issue recalls for affected cars, and enhance their safety features. As of now, there have been no reported fatalities, and it is crucial for Mazda to take proactive measures in investigating and addressing our claims to prevent any potential harm caused by errors in the ActiveSense system. When driving on the highway next to a large truck or semi and on a curve, the adaptive cruise control thinks that there’s a vehicle in front of you and slams on the brakes. This has happened a few times with my vehicle. Thankfully, there were no vehicles immediately behind me, or the results could’ve been tragic.

I'm getting a critical engine error with the car saying I have low oil pressure. The dealership has looked and said that they can't fix it. They said I can drive it with the warning up

My truck sat for a while I charged the Batt. I drove to the landfill in Tehachapi Ca. It ran fine. I unloaded the trash the engine idled for 30+min. The landfill had debris on the ground. The truck ran fine back to town. I had 3/4 fuel. I decided to fill up at the Loves gas station I filled it all the way 2 clicks I think. I started up the truck after fueling it ran terribly I had a flashing check engine light. I drove home 2milles when home the truck was on ?? FIRE!! I turned off engine. Put lots of h20 on fire. Disconnected Batt put more h20. I don't know if it started at gas station or in between. I can ask neighbors. The fire was under the driver's seat underneath the truck. I don't know if it was damaged by debris at the dump there was lots of [XXX] on the ground. It has not been inspected yet. I have not started any repairs. No police report. No damage to any one or property (except my truck). It is in my driveway and can be inspected there or towed. No pictures but I can take some. Vehicle engine suddenly loses significant power, the car violently shakes and the engine starts knocking. When attempting to bring the car to a safe location, the vehicles brakes wouldn’t work. Then the car displayed a bunch of errors, like “Engine Malfunction” and “Hybrid System Malfunction”. The car has been in service twice for this issue and they haven’t found a fix. This malfunction has happened twice during our commute with our children in the car.

The key light went on without me knowing what it was. Brakes are taking a while to engage. The acc stoped my car while driving in traffic almost caused an accident. Don’t know if this matters but phone charger does not stay connected with cover or not.

Defective Driver's seat construction made by Mazda Mfg Corp. I was the first person to report this cheaply made driver's seat failure to Mazda Corp in Irvine, CA in early 2015 or 2016. Recall was finally issued a year afterwards because Mazda dragged their feet, and only after I threatened to sue them if I was ever in an accident, and the seat was to totally fall apart, and maim me for life did they finally take action. The Recall fix (cheap bandaid clamp that again failed because seat frame welds had failed as well) was never done right, and as a result the seat totally fell apart, and Ed Howard Lincoln Mazda of Sarasota, FL didn't want to do anything further at that point (cost out of pocket wise). I was told by a different Mazda Dealership in Ft Myers, FL that that defective seat should have been totally replaced if they would've handled it correctly. So Ed Howard Lincoln Mazda really screwed me on that one! As related to the 2.5L Mazda engine, I also had/have a engine failure part there as well. It's called the ENGINE COOLANT (WATER) OUTLET FLANGE, and the bottom left hand bolt (1 of 4 bolts total) that's suppose to hold this cheap plastic part in place was stripped (over-torqued) at the production assembly line time that the engine was made (put together). Now the cheap plastic replacement part is leaking again from the same lower left hand corner, and this is a well Known Ford & Mazda 2.5L engine failure design as stated in many a Mazda online forum! This also should have been recalled, as now my 2011 Mazda 3 is down again. Engine overheated again on Oct 13, 2023. Prior repair to replace this defective Flange was done in Feb or Mar of 2022. Cheap Plastic parts put on a Metal engine just don't work well at all. Common Physics would tell you that! I have documents in my storage unit if you need them.

The engine coolant system/electronic coolant control valve is known for failing on the N/A Skyactiv-G engine. When it fails, it fails stuck open. There is a TSB out for this problem (01-011/21). This results in the engine coolant never making it to operating temperature, and poor heater performance during cold weather. When I took it to a dealer, they stated that the check engine light must come on from DTC P0126:00 before they can address the problem under warranty. Even after driving the car and having 30+ minute drives where the temperature gauge never makes it past the first tick (blue), I haven't had the check engine light come on. It's unclear what circumstances are required for DTC P0126:00 to occur, but I've never had a car essentially not get warm during an entire 30+ mile highway drive, even when it's 0 fahrenheit outside. It appears like this is a degenerative problem as I did not have this problem last cold season. This year, since the first day it has been colder than about 45 degrees, the engine has struggled to reach operating temperature, and of course is even worse now that it is colder. Without the heated seat, it would be difficult to be comfortable in this car due to this problem.

I became aware of this recall for my backup camera and one day i closed my trunk wasnt expecting it too affect my car but it did!! the rear backup camera was flickering and distorted as i was back out of a parking spot and almost got rear ended by someone and mazda told me by the middle of january they should have a fix for this its a camera and a wiring harness and fastener no need to have too wait this long for something that can cause a major accident its not only happened once but twice out of nowhere i have pictures and video recordings of it!!

Driving to work the dash lit up with warming signs stating electrical leak detected, Malfunction to hybrid system stop car immediately and contact dealership. Once stopped the car locked up. It would not start would not engage in to gear. There is no neutral gear bypass. We were stranded. Called Mazda roadside assistance and it took 9 hours for a tow truck to arrive. Tow truck had to drag the car up onto flatbed since there was no way to put it into gear. We we're in the city limits not out in the middle of nowhere. The car is currently at the dealership awaiting parts.
