I just had my vehicle in for routine maintenance and oil change and three days later it started leaking oil, staining my driveway, with the leak getting progressively worse then my check oil light went on, and the day I brought it in, and it was smoking under the hood. My safety and the safety of others on the road was at risk. At the routine maintenance visit they found no issues with the vehicle. After bringing it into the dealership they diagnosed it as a cylinder head crack needing replacement. We had another dealership look at the diagnostic video and explain that this is poor manufacturing. It’s just over 60,000 miles but is still within our warranty from a timeline aspect. Upon research we found this is happening to many people with a Mazda’s from year, 18 to 21. There are many forums about this. Upon an online search we found this problem documented as tsb SA-031/21. I am disappointed that the Mazda company is aware of the faulty cylinder heads in this vehicle, and now I am responsible for the maintenance charge.

My car has had a abs engine code for a year that I have spent a lot of money trying to get it off because, I can’t renew my tag because it failed emissions vehicle safety test . So I was notified by my insurance company that my vehicle was under recall. I read it and called Mazda and it was confirmed and I went to the shop and I waited 6 hours for the installation of a new abs module and wire harness. Hennesy Mazda of morrow Georgia bypassed the abs system but replaced my voltage regulator with out my consent. The recall recommended repair is to replace the abs module and harness. The dealership refused to comply and neither offered a tow back to Newnan Georgia where I live. So they placed me and others at risk by failing to comply. I have been ignored even after speaking with 3 customer service representatives and I was given a call [XXX] 10/11/23. I was told that I had to get it to Marietta Jim Ellis Mazda and that they would contact me but know one has called. I need your help to resolve this serious violation of the recall and the altering of my vehicles abs by bypassing it ????. I have lost a total of $2,367 in parts lost wages and anguish due to their lack of compliance of the recall of my 2002 Mazda tribute es abs module and harness. The abs module and wiring to ECM gets the voltage regulator hot and causes abs engine light to illuminate and malfunction. This my work vehicle I need it to make a living. The abs module and harness wasn’t changed but was bypassed ??. The recall clearly states the issue and recommended repairs by vehicle manufacturer or authorized dealer. I have noticed the windshield is distorted and from reports all over the Internet that seems to be an issue with 20-22 mazda cx-30’s and I don’t think Mazda is going to replace it. It causes me to get fatigued, and a little dizzy at times during long distance driving.

The contact owns a 2014 Mazda Mazda3. The contact stated that while parked, the vehicle had smelled gas fumes in the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a plastic fuel pump module in the gas tank had corroded and the seam of the gas tank had leaked. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 158,500.

I was driving on the freeway on the fast lane and the vehicle slowed from 65mph to zero in about 30 seconds and came to a complete stop. It happened so fast I couldn’t change lanes to get to a safe spot. I was left stranded on the fast lane of the freeway with traffic coming right at me. Vehicle displayed a Hybrid system malfunction message.

As I was driving 26 mile trip to work I noticed a red light illuminated on dash indicating the temp was about 240-260. I pulled into the parking lot immediately turned car off. After work (8 hour shift) drove home temp stayed at 200-210. The next morning I took it to the mechanic I’ve used for years. He did a visual detailed inspection finding that the water or antifreeze in the radiator was low. The antifreeze in the over flow tank was about an inch or so above the “L” line. He said there may have been an air pocket in it, a leak, water pump or thermostat going out. Watch the fluid levels daily, if the lower again take it to the dealership where I purchased it (4 months ago with 106K miles on it). I do have a 3 year or 30,000 mile warranty through the dealership. 4 days later I was very observant watching the temperature gauge. It went up to 240 briefly, so I got home and had my ex-husband check it. Both the radiator and the overflow tank were bone dry. Topped off radiator with antifreeze and the overflow tank to the “F” line. Car had cooled and right before topping fluid started. There is no noticeable sign of a leak (smell, white smoke from exhaust, visible puddles of anything on the motor or the ground where I’ve parked. Today is Thursday 10/12 and I can’t get an appointment with dealership until Tuesday. I’ve been reading a lot online about this being a very repetitive issue. In some cases new engine replacement required. Mazda is well aware of not a few but NUMEROUS issues and complaints, a recall is needed for this situation. Right is right and fair is fair!!

It acting like it doesn’t want to hold air. I have to air up my wheels every morning. It’s only the back wheels.

The contact owns a 2014 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that on multiple occasions, the vehicle would stall upon the depression of the accelerator pedal as a fuel odor would emit from the vehicle. The check engine light would also appear on the instrument panel. The vehicle had been taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the fuel line O-ring seal on three separate occasions. The manufacturer nor the dealer had been notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Went in to the mechanic to get a regular oil change and noticed a liquid slushing sound after starting the car up. Was informed that there is a major coolant leak somewhere in the car. Took it to Mazda dealership right away who confirmed that it is a cracked cylinder head. I got lucky that the car did not overheat on the road and happened to catch it in the nick of time. No check engine lights or low coolant lights came on at all.

My gf went for a basic oil change and the automotive person was shocked to find the rear right cross bar to be suffering from incredible corrosion. He said at this point it is unsafe to drive. We looked into recalls for this make and model and there is one for the front cross bar due to insufficient or improper application of a corrosion spray on the frame. How can they say the front needs to be recalled and not the back? If the dealership didn’t do a good job of covering the appropriate metal frame in corrosion resistant spray any car that has that level should be recalled. This is immensely dangerous
