2019 MAZDA CX-5- Jacksonville, FL
The computer monitor on the vehicle seems to have a mind of its own. After talking with the service rep they actually have a name for it because it is happening to many owners "Ghost Touching. The car tends to call people on your contact list automatically, change radio stations, move from settings all on its own. I feel it is dangerous because it will all of a sudden call someone and then you are trying to stop it and it does not disconnect and your focus is now taken off of the road and driving. Even if you try to turn the monitor off it turns on by itself. I was told there is no way to disconnect it and I would have to pay to have it fixed on a car that is only a couple years old. They know this is happening quite a bit, Mazda corporate would not do anything and I think it should be a recall issue before someone gets in an accident. This happens many times in one driving day.

On my Mazda CX-5, the auto-folding side mirrors began failing to open fully, resulting in poor visibility. It is possible that the mirrors may become fully folded and unable to open resulting in compromised awareness when driving. It is not possible to force the mirrors open without risking damage to the internal mechanism and no guarantee the mirrors would stay open. This seems to be related to Bulletin No.: 09-011/20, however service centers are declining to fix this outside of warranty. There are numerous cases of this happening documented on Mazda forums and online groups, and the service associate admitted to me that just the day before someone had come in for an identical problem, but the owner declined to pay for a nearly $2000 fix.

2011 MAZDA RX-8- Barrigada, GU
The incident occurred on 02/08/2023. Prior to this, I brought my car to the dealership due to a recall to fix gas mounting rings, recall number . I do not feel comfortable with their repairs and I do not believe that the dealership performed the repairs properly which caused my car to smoke and stall on the road and then caught on fire at their shop. They claimed that their own business insurance fire fixed the damages but I believe that the car is damaged beyond repair. Furthermore, they held the car since February 2023. Until now, July 2023 the Guam dealership is unable to fix my car. To add, the repairs they claim far exceed the market value of the car and the car is at a total loss. I consider it totaled. I do not feel safe driving this car. 2011 Mazda RX-8 Recall Item Affected: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE Date Announced: 09/24/2021Description of Recall: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2009-2011 RX-8 and 2006-2007 MazdaSpeed6 vehicles. The rear camera and warning system has failed numerous times. On one occasion I hit a vehicle because of the failure. Also, the windshield has a leak that sometimes is like a waterfall causing serious visibility problems.

Car’s (less than a month old)rear glass shattered when shut the driver side door. No prior damage or wild temperature fluctuations. Could have been dangerous if occurred while driving or someone sitting in back seat. Wondering if there’s a defect in glass, or install.

When I press on my brakes, I hear air. I am fortunate that, as of this reporting, I have not had an accident. My brakes do not fully stop my car, so I have to judge when to brake in order to slow down and not hit the car ahead of me. Very scary when your car won't stop! I have read other complaints on the Mazda CX9s built in 2013 having an issue with the brake booster. PLEASE recall these 2014 Mazdas so the appropriate repairs can be made. Working brakes are ESSENTIAL!

2018 MAZDA CX-5- Clearwater, FL
Infotainment system has begun exhibiting phenomenon described as "ghost touch" where options are selected randomly by the system due to touchscreen failure. This happens while the vehicle is moving and creates a significant distraction to the driver, creating a safety hazard for driver, passengers, and other cars on the road. This vehicle has not been inspected by a dealership but internet information indicates it is a known issue but a recall has not been issued from Mazda, which compromises the safety of the vehicle. No warning for incidents. This is an ongoing issue and occurs routinely during daily driving.
