    - Appleton, WI

After setting the adaptive cruise control, and overriding it with the accelerator pedal when approaching a vehicle in front of me to pass it, my vehicle briefly accelerated hard while switching lanes after clearing the vehicle in front of me. This happened even though I had taken my foot off the accelerator already. My current speed was also slightly higher than the set cruise speed. E.g. I set it to 75, I was driving 77 and it jumped up to 80 for a short while before settling back to 75. This acceleration happened right as I cleared the vehicle in front of me and I was in the other lane. You can feel the sudden acceleration. It is as if the radar noticed the vehicle wasn't in front of it any more so it accelerated disregarding the current speed or accelerator position.

When the vehicle is put in park and the button is pressed to turn off the vehicle, the radio display screen stays on. I have to recrank the car, put it in a different gear, and then back into park and try again. Sometimes I do this process up to 10 times in order for the display screen to turn off. When the display screen stays on, the battery is drained within hours.

When Mazda recalled the front frame they should’ve fixed the rear frame too I believe that this should have been recalled because there is the same problem all over the internet with this model. When my 16 year old daughter was going down the road @ 60mph and the rear subframe broke - bent the exhaust and then the tire rubbed the wheel well smoked like crazy and thought is was on fire & it then had blow out on the highway. Had to have it towed as putting the spare on would have done no good .
