2014 MAZDA CX-5- ANCHORAGE, AK
My 2014 Mazda CX-5 will not shut off completely. I put it in park and turn off the vehicle and the radio and electrical stays on, this has drained my battery on more than one occasion and was actually stuck in the middle of nowhere for one of the incidents. This needs to be recalled after researching this there are HUNDREDS of people with the same year, same vehicle and same issue. This has been reported, but nothing has been done for over 4 years. Please see forum below where this issue is clearly documented. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t49115_ds799849

The main screen in the middle of the vehicle experiences “ghost touches” or acts like it’s being controlled sporadically without any buttons or the screen being touched. It does it so aggressively that it causes major distraction while driving and will even change navigation routes while driving and make calls while trying to navigate. This is a huge safety issue especially for younger drivers that can’t handle this well. It makes beeping sounds and changes the screens very quickly and many times I’m unable to stop it. I’ve researched ways to fix it online with no success without spending a large amount of money at a dealership. I’ve seen many many people online with the same issue. I bought the vehicle new, and it began doing this within the first year.

1994 MAZDA MX-5 MIATA- Corvallis, OR
Car was in storage for 3.5 years and upon starting the engine fuel sprayed from the fuel rail/fuel injector interface (I would estimate 0.2 liters per minute). 10 mb file size limit, LOL. I zoomed my photo to about 5% of the original area to show a 1/2” picture of the fuel spray. Also, FWIW, this is a race car with original/OEM engine.

2010 MAZDA MAZDA6- Toledo, OH
The contact owns a 2010 Mazda Mazda6. The contact stated that the vehicle had previously been serviced at the dealer under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V631000 (Suspension, Structure). The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she lost control of the vehicle. The failure caused the passenger's side rear tire to rub on the fender while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the passenger's side rear subframe was severely corroded and had fractured in half. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

2019 MAZDA CX-9- LOVELAND, CO
Hi, I have a 2019 Mazda CX-9. It is a certified pre-owned vehicle we purchased in October 2020. Upon going out to our car yesterday, June 12th, 20212, I noticed that the top left of the center console screen appeared to be damaged. I was perplexed because the car was locked and it wasn't there previously. As I touched the screen, I realized that cracks/peeling were all internal within the screen. I immediately decided to Google the issue to see if others have had similar experiences, and I found dozens and dozens of examples. Separately, there is a safety alert on the issue from Mazda (see here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10134920-9999.pdf). Additionally, the issue has gotten so bad that Mazda has issued a warranty extension for this specific problem (see here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10176061-0001.pdf). The extension only is covering cars made through 4/29/17, and ours was made after that so is not formally covered at the moment. I called Mazda customer service, where both my cars are formally registered, to discuss the issue. They told me the best they could offer was for me to take it to a dealer, have the dealer attempt to have it covered under warranty, and Mazda corporate warranty will respond, but their response is final. If they say it's not covered, there is no debating it. As you can see from the picture, this is the exact issue that is currently being covered free of charge in earlier models. A recall should be issued or Mazda should be directed to expand this to later models since this is clearly not limited to the years they currently have listed. See the picture attached and the links above. Thank you

2010 MAZDA MAZDA6- Fruitport, MI
Crossmember rust from recall campaign 2818I is able to effect structural attachment despite recall work. The recall installed an "improved: cross member. This was not an actually replacement cross member, rather additional plate steel between the rear and front of the existing attachment points of the defective OE cross member. Improved cross member contains no provisions to support rapidly corroding lower control arm attachment point in original cross member. Added member for recall also does not appear to additionally support lateral stresses from control arm. Evaluation of original cross-member seemed inadequate to detect structural integrity based on condition of the cross member today. "improved" cross member does not support mounting points of the control arm. Based on recall documents, some "improved" cross members have supports for Lower Control Arm (LCA) mounts. This issued occurred with sudden change in steering and braking characteristics. Vehicle suddenly started pulling right. Issue further exacerbated after follow on braking. Passenger wheel suddenly lost alignment and camber is indicating lower attachment geometry change. I was able to control vehicle, but with significant effort.
