2022 MERCEDES-BENZ S 580- Windermere, FL
Vehicle: 2022 Mercedes-Benz S580 The vehicle is experiencing a severe and violent drivetrain "jolt" or "push" during gear transitions, specifically when shifting from 5th to 6th gear at cruising speeds. On multiple occasions, the jolt was so forceful that passengers believed the vehicle had been rear-ended by another car. This behavior is unpredictable and creates a significant safety hazard, as it causes a sudden change in vehicle momentum while driving in traffic. The issue has been reported to the authorized dealer (Fields Mercedes Lakeland) multiple times. The dealer kept the vehicle for over 40 cumulative days and performed motor/transmission mount replacements and "software calibrations," yet the violent shifting persists. Additionally, the engine produces an excessive vibration and loud noise during extended operation in high temperatures, which ceases only when the ECO/Auto-stop mode engages. I am concerned that the transmission or torque converter may fail abruptly while at highway speeds, potentially leading to a loss of propulsion or a rear-end collision due to the unexpected deceleration/jolt behavior. The vehicle is suffering from chronic oil consumption issues. The 'Check Engine Oil Level (Add 1 Quart)' message has appeared twice: once on 10/31/2025 and again on 04/17/2026. This is despite the vehicle being exclusively serviced by Mercedes-Benz Lakeland. This recurring engine issue, combined with the violent drivetrain jolts and shifting failures, significantly compromises the vehicle's safety and reliability."

Subject: Safety Complaint – 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB (Active Recall) Reference: CMS Case #XXX Vehicle: 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB VIN: [XXX] I am filing a safety complaint regarding an active recall on my vehicle and the lack of a clear, safe resolution. The vehicle is currently under an active safety recall, and we have been advised it may not be safe to operate under certain conditions. At the same time, the dealership has informed us that the vehicle cannot be traded in due to the recall. This has left us in a position where: * We may not be able to safely drive the vehicle * We cannot trade or dispose of the vehicle * We have not been given clear guidance on safe use or storage Mercedes-Benz USA (CMS Case #21602523) has declined a repurchase and offered only partial goodwill compensation without providing a clear, actionable solution. We are concerned that consumers are being left with a vehicle that may be unsafe to operate and cannot be reasonably removed from service. We are requesting review and guidance on: 1. Whether the vehicle is safe to operate 2. Manufacturer responsibility in resolving recall-related limitations 3. Consumer protections in situations where a recalled vehicle cannot be used or traded This situation creates safety, liability, and consumer protection concerns, especially as we must leave the vehicle unattended while traveling internationally. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Panoramic sunroof fails to open/ close evenly due to plastic track failure. One side binds while the other moves, causing glass to tilt and jam. Risk of glass shattering, sudden detachment, distraction while driving, and water intrusion affecting airbags/electronics.

2023 MERCEDES-BENZ EQS 450+- Gaithersburg, MD
While making a left turn at low speed, I applied the brakes, but the vehicle did not respond as expected and instead appeared to drift, surge, or accelerate forward. The vehicle struck a fire hydrant and a bus stop pole before crashing into a tree. Airbags deployed and both occupants sustained injuries. I suspect a possible malfunction involving braking, propulsion, electrical, or speed control systems. No final cause has been determined. The vehicle should still be available for inspection. Mercedes-Benz USA has opened a case regarding this incident.

2016 MERCEDES-BENZ GL450- Newport Beach, CA
Panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered at some time between 2/4/26 and 2/5/26. Car was fine when I drove on 2/4/26 and parked at home at approximately 4:30p (still light outside). I got in car next day 2/5/26 at approximately 5:45p (when dark outside). Heard slight air/wind noise as pulled out of driveway and started driving. Looked up and saw sunroof completely shattered (but still fully attached). No glass inside car until the next day when the sun came out and glass started to fall in and create a hole in the broken glass panel. I was the only one who drove the car. Dealer viewed on 2/9/26, and provided repair estimate of $4,500.30. Still waiting on insurance to authorize repair. I have attached photos from 2/5/26 when discovered and next day 2/6/26 after hole formed and glass started falling into car (blocked by sunshade).
