While driving, the panoramic sunroof on my 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 4MATIC shattered unexpectedly while fully closed. The interior sunshade was also closed at the time. There was no prior damage and no discernible impact. I did not observe or hear anything strike the vehicle. The fracture pattern shows no identifiable point of origin or impact and appears irregular and multi-directional, which is inconsistent with external debris. This appears to be a spontaneous tempered glass failure and raises safety concerns due to the risk of injury to occupants and driver distraction while operating the vehicle.

2016 Mercedes-Benz C63 S AMG, M177 4.0L twin-turbo V8. This engine is marketed under Mercedes-Benz's "One Man, One Engine" philosophy — hand-assembled by a single master technician. It failed irreparably at 67,323 miles on a properly maintained vehicle owned by a 14-year Mercedes-Benz customer who has purchased six Mercedes-Benz vehicles. All maintenance performed on schedule with genuine OEM Mercedes-Benz parts at Mercedes-certified shops. At approximately 65,000 miles, check engine light illuminated with cylinder 7 misfire. A Mercedes-certified shop found and replaced a burnt spark plug and all 4 ignition coils with OEM parts. Misfire cleared. Three months later at 67,000 miles, shaking and check engine light returned. All 8 spark plugs replaced with OEM parts. Misfires returned within 100 miles — now on cylinders 1, 3, and 7 — accompanied by violent engine shaking and a fuel smell. Vehicle brought to authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. Full diagnostic performed including borescope inspection. Confirmed: broken spark plug ceramic and unrepairable piston pitting in cylinder 4 and engine damage. Dealer confirmed engine is not repairable and recommends complete engine replacement. All findings documented on dealer repair order. Vehicle remains at the dealer and is available for inspection. Mercedes-Benz has published at least three Technical Service Bulletins on persistent misfires specific to this engine: LI54.21-P-062006 (multiple revisions — ECU ground faults, borescope protocol anticipating internal damage), LI07.61-P-073583 (post-turbo exhaust clamp failures), LI07.61-P-069688 (intake manifold cracks). Mercedes has acknowledged this defect pattern internally and has not issued a recall. Sudden power loss and violent shaking at highway speed is a direct safety hazard. NHTSA investigation warranted.

The doors are designed to open or shut, not a hinged or soft door close. There has been several times when I’ve opened the door and the door slams back on my elbow.

A lot of times when I park even on flat surfaces my parking brake engages and It’s hell being able to leave because I have to turn the car off open the door close door start the again put in drive while my foot is on the brake and pull and push the parking brake button 4 times. Then I’m able to drive. This has been happening more frequently and there is an open recall for the parking brakes calLED ESP RECALL

The contact owns a 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the service brakes independently enabled. The contact stated that the vehicle stopped on a major interstate. In addition, several warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The following day, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that the vehicle displayed phantom braking. In addition, the contact noticed an unusual tapping sound, and several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, however the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that the vehicle was at the dealer for twenty-one days. In addition, the contact was offered the option to trade in the vehicle. The contact stated In addition, the contact referenced an unknown recall which had a similar failure description, however the contact's VIN was not associated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 32,300.

The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 4Matic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V073000 (Electrical System). The local dealer was contacted regarding the fire risk, and the contact was informed that parts would be available approximately in December 2026. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was informed. The contact had not experienced a failure.

VEHICLE: 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 VIN: [XXX] COMPONENT: Power train, automatic transmission DESCRIPTION: When the vehicle is placed in Park with the engine running, the vehicle experiences an intermittent jolting or lurching sensation approximately every 5 seconds, accompanied by an audible clicking sound. The jolting is most pronounced immediately after shifting from Reverse into Park, and gradually decreases in frequency after approximately one minute but does not fully stop. This occurs an estimated 50 percent of the time the vehicle is shifted into Park. This issue is separate from the known Eco Start/Stop roughness on GLE 350 models. This issue raises safety concerns. The owner is expecting a child and the unexpected repeated vehicle movement while in Park poses a risk when an infant car seat is installed. The jolting could also cause a driver to inadvertently release the brake or shift out of Park. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership for diagnosis on two separate occasions. The service team acknowledged that they have seen this problem before on other vehicles of the same model, but stated they were unable to replicate the issue during their inspections and do not have a known repair procedure. The vehicle remains under the manufacturer’s factory warranty, purchased March 2023. Other GLE 350 owners have reported identical symptoms across 2020, 2021, and 2022 model years on multiple forums. No fix has been identified by any dealership. No crash or injury has occurred. No warning lights are illuminated. Video evidence of the clicking sound has been captured.???????????????? There has been fire hazard due to manufacturer defect (high voltage battery). It has been under recall since Feb 2025, and till date, no battery replacement has been provided despite of fire hazard. The instructions to keep car outside isn't practical to follow for more than year now! It is electric car whose charger is mounted inside garage. Besides there are car theft risk of parking outside. Manufacturer has been providing unreasonable instructions for long duration of time than resolving the problem, particularly when there is recall for fire hazard even when parked or driving. It is life safety issue for entire family and we cannot continue to use this vehicle

I was informed that many cars of my make, and model have been recall they will not take into consideration the fact that it’s a safety concern for me now even though I’ve seat didn’t ask questions in regards to this car I know that this car in particular has had over 12,000 recalls for cars between 2022 and 2024 and I’ve asked the dealership to go ahead and see if they can assure me that my car‘s not gonna have a problem in the future and they can’t assure me they just told me to charge my car at 80% away from the house which is a little bit impossible since I do have my charging method next to our home I’ve asked for Goodwill. I’ve asked questions to see if they can help us out, but it feels like they really don’t care about the concern. They’re more worry about the value of the car, but at this point, my husband and I are super disappointed because our car has also depreciated a lot because of this

this is for Mercedes Benz GLE S 63 AMG i was driving on [XXX] at [XXX] PH all of sudden i heard huge explosion like gunshot my car swerved and i look up to my sun roof the whole sun roof exploded in to pieces, all the glass shattered. scared the shit out ogf me. this is a ongoing issue with mercedes benz GLE S 63 AMG please help before som gets killed there so many complaints regarding the issue, how come NHTSA is not taking action? when i called merceds in [XXX] they made some bullshit story. please help.
