2018 RAM 1500- Mohawk, TN
Blower motor stopped working so couldn't get window to defrost so I could see to drive. Replaced blower motor, still didn't work took it to shop they said connector to the TIPM module had melted so had it replaced plus asked mechanic to check all wiring, grounds,ect to see why blower motor not working. Pd over 700. To have this done blower motor worked for 1 day now doesn't work again. I believe the TIPM module is a safety and health hazard besides all the other stuff it messes up that just drive you crazy so it's also a mental health hazard. It a manufacturer defect on almost all there vehicles, not just the few they did put a Tipm recall on. Ty

2018 RAM 1500- Fontana, CA
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) had failed. The fuel system assembly was replaced. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel). Additionally, the contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they would consider covering half of the repair cost. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. No warning lights were illuminated. GPS / Navigation system failure while vehicle was in use. System failure resulted in faulty position location on the moving map. When checked against the "HOME" location...the position error was 13 miles to the SouthEast. This failure is accompanied by erroneous Compass indication and a loss of Radio audio.

my ram 2018 u connect radio changes stations on it own, heater starts and stops on it own it makes telephone calls on its own screen goes black can't see screen on its own gps will go black and turn off on its own very scary and unsafe almost caused me to have several accidents while using gps system. unsafe using u connect radio!!!!

I am writing to urgently address a safety issue I have encountered with my 2018 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel VIN: [XXX] vehicle, which poses a significant risk to myself and others on the road. I purchased my 2018 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel in 2018. Regrettably, I have faced persistent problems with crankshaft bearing failures, resulting in engine failure on two occasions – first at 70,000 miles and subsequently after another 70,000 miles. Both instances necessitated engine replacements. The location of the truck is Ron Carter Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram League City at Address 3535 Gulf Fwy, League City, TX 77573. During the initial replacement, a rebuilt or used engine was installed per Chrysler's directive, which was stated to carry a three-year warranty. However, despite being within this warranty period, the dealership has declined to honor the warranty claim for the second engine failure. Beyond the financial strain this has imposed on my family, there is a grave safety concern associated with these repeated engine failures. The sudden loss of engine power while driving poses a significant risk on the road, creating unsafe conditions. I have experienced instances where the engine stopped abruptly, causing a near-collision due to the loss of power. I am reaching out to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to highlight this safety issue and to request your urgent assistance in addressing this matter. These repeated engine failures not only jeopardize my safety but also that of other motorists on the road. I implore the NHTSA to investigate this matter promptly to prevent potential accidents and ensure the safety of all drivers who might be affected by similar issues in these vehicles. 3.0L diesel engine may have been built with a high pressure fuel pump ("HPFP") that could fail prematurely. A HPFP failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. Engine loss power then when is fully operational and stop at sing then then engine stalls the next thing happens suddenly accelerated.
