Manufacturer Recall C4B and NHTSA Recall Number 24V-896 have not been addressed by the manufacturer. Both recall notices were issued Nov. 27, 2024. The following conditions have occurred in the 2018 Ram 2500 I own. "Vehicles may have been built with a brake hydraulic control unit ("HCU") that is susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System ("ABS")/Electronic Stability Control ("ESC") /Traction Control performance. A failing HCU will initially result in the intermittent loss of ABS/Traction control progressing to permanent loss." The HCU failure causes the failure of the ABS function, the Traction Control function and the failure of the Cruise Control feature. The failure of these integrated safety features dramatically increase the risk of accident, injury or death. The warning lights associated with the system failure are ABS, Traction Control, and Service Electronic Braking System. The indication for this failure have been occurring since Feb 12, 2025.

See attached document for complaint. I received this notice will over a year ago. My local dealer, Diehl's keeps saying no parts available. I use this truck on my farm and haul cattle with it. The ABS service light comes on constantly and beeps too. Could you please tell me when parts are available? And, why is it taking so long? Thank you so much for any information you could give me as to when repairs could be made?

We have been on a waiting list for a recall repair for over a year related to the antilock braking system. This is a safety issue and it is unacceptable to not be repaired as the issue can cause brake failure which can result is collisions which may cause injury and or fatalities.

Manf Recall C4B-NHTSA Recall 24V-896 11/27/24 VIN3C6UR5CL6JG350862 2018 Ram 2500 - Vehicle purchased used 8/2020; First brought the vehicle for service due to the HCU issue 12/2022- the replacement part was not available; second service was 9/2023 the HCU parts were not available; 3/2025 dealer states still not available; recall issued 11/27/24 - dealer states parts are still not available; Called FCA 4/7/26 and manufacturer states no ETA for the parts. The vehicle alerts for the service needed with a chime that repeats over and over; this makes it very frustrating and distracting when driving. I understand ABS and Traction control are required safety features and it's been more than 3 years that I have been attempting to have this fixed. What recourse do I have since FCA has not remedied the recall?

I am getting a warning that the electronic stability control (ESC) system is disabled. I am told it is due to a faulty ABS module that is on backorder. The warning/alarm goes off constantly and is a distraction. It also disables my cruise control which is another safety hazard. This has been an issue for over 2 years and is an extreme safety risk. I have called the dealership/service department for Dodge Ram monthly and keep getting told they will call me once parts are available. They stated they can look at the problem and possibly do a reset, but I will be charged for any work since they said it will likely not fix the problem.
