Abs module in limp mode with 45k miles think they have a problem by the looks of all the people on forums that have the same issue. No ABS while this is faulting and they have no fix got to love it I feel so safe now driving around.

This is preventative for myself but multiple others have been affected by this manufacturing issue. The factory grid heater has a bolt and stud on the bottom side of it. From heat and deterioration the bolt has a tendency to fall off, which then sends it through the intake manifold where it winds up inside cylinder #6. At approximately 101,000 miles, the service Electronic Braking system and service Antilock Braking system warnings began showing up intermittently on the dash. I have taken the vehicle to a dealership and have been quoted between $1,500 and $3,000 for repairs once parts are available, with a 6 month wait for parts. I was notified that parts had become unavailable in the second half of 2023. I have lost cruise control and slight braking performance due to this on top of the nonstop annoying dinging going on.

At around 80k miles, started getting the service anti-lock brake system, electronic braking system alarms. Traction control light and abs light are on permanently now. What's funny is that now the rear parking sensor failed which makes me wonder if all this in the electrical system is tied together. Dealer said it was the hydraulic control unit. That did not fix it. Next it was a wheel speed sensor. That did not fix it. Then it was abs module but it is "discontinued." In other words, Chrysler knows there is a major issue and NEEDS to issue a recall but hasn't yet! I have over a grand in this and it's not fixed. Dealer said that they don't know what the fix is. Please issue a recall!

The contact owns a 2017 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30-35 MPH, the transmission became stuck in second gear and the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a transmission specialist, and it was determined that the failure was due to the valve body and shift solenoid. The manufacturer was not contacted. Intermittent MIL stating ABS and TCS service required, started has been going on since I bought the truck in January 2023 at about 50k miles (currently about 75k). Often happens when driving over any sort of uneven terrain - bumps, potholes, seams between concrete and asphalt surfaces, milled asphalt surfaces, speed bumps, debris, etc. Dealer says the ABS module needs to be replaced, and that there are none available. With some research, this appears to be a common/known issue for Ram trucks, but no recall and no effort to even manufacture the part so it can be fixed, regardless who is stuck with the bill. When this light comes on, neither 4WD nor cruise control function, which can cause safety concerns - especially while towing.

The ABS module has failed. There aren’t any available across the entire United States in order to fix our vehicle. We have no ABS, no cruise control, no trailer brakes. We can’t get any help or answers from Ram. We have started a case with them and cannot even get a call back. The dealer cannot even order the part.
