2026 SUZUKI GSX-8R- Chesapeake, VA
On 08/10/2026 was riding my 2026 Suzski GSX 8R ruffly around 3:20pm the throttle grip mechanically/electronically stuck at full throttle in second gear at approximately 35 mph. The grip remained open after i released it. Pulling the cluch caused the engin to disengage/release. The motorcycle accelerated beyond my control and I had to put it down. I was rushed to the hospital with head/neck left side chest pains and both knees swollen. The bike is currently and still being inspected by the dealership that sold me the bike. There were no warning lamps, or messages or problems with the bike prier to me putting it down. This was a brand new bike just at the breakin point of 600miles.

2025 SUZUKI GSX-R750- Grand Prarie, TX
A engine rod broke through the engine block, destroying the whole engine. The motorcycle only had 4k miles when this occurred. I have receipts of all the oil changes done to the vehicle. Vehicle was bought from an Arlington motorsports with 0 miles on the show floor. Mind you the vehicle has gap insurance also with warranty but warranty denied service because their accusation said that there wasn’t enough oil in the engine. The incident happened while I was driving and when I pulled over on the side of the highway all the oil leaked from the engine, so of course, there isn’t gonna be in oil in the engine when the warranty checked out the vehicle months later. I also had a rough time with the dealership that was doing doing all repairs and tear down to my bike. They did a teardown on my bike to see what was wrong with the bike entirely after the teardown they told me warranty didn’t wanna take care of anything and made me pay out-of-pocket for the teardown and the days the bike was there at the dealership so they charge me storage fee. This whole situation doesn’t sit right with me even the bike being my main transportation. I’ve been waiting a whole year since the incident.

I got on the highway going to [XXX] on [XXX]. When I merged into traffic I almost got hit from behind because the Suzuki M109R slipped out of second gear. Fortunately the driver of the dump truck behind me noticed that I was not speeding up and he slammed on the brakes saving my life. 2012 SUZUKI KIZASHI- ROEBLING, NJ
This is my son's vehicle, purchased by me in January 2025. He attends a college 110 miles from home in PA. As the warmer/hot weather came along in 2025, he was experiencing random scary situations of the car just going into "limp mode" while driving 70 - 75 mph on [XXX]. No warning indicators, no dash lights. No acceleration, couldn't maintain speed, bogged down to 15 mph until he pulled over and turned off the car. It scared him of course, but sadly this became his summertime travel ritual when traveling to and from college. Every trip in 87°< temperatures, a 2-3 time limp mode was in store. I realized in June of 2025 that this problem doesn't throw any DTCs when it happens and because sometimes he didn't wait long enough to clear the limp mode, I had him disconnecting the negative battery cable then reattaching it in order to clear the resident memory to get him going right away. I went a step further and installed gate switch on the negative battery post so he could just lift the hood, break the circuit with the gate arm and put it back down. I write this today because the car's 1st episodes for 2026 was on a similar mileage trip home, however it was only 82°. The CVT fluid has been changed, the level is correct and his driving habits appear to be in line with GPS ETAs vs. his actual arrival times. I went down the rabbit hole regarding the 2013 Kizashi TCM recall and I truly believe the defective TCMs they found have been around for some time before the 2013 Model year. He loves his car, but the car is putting him at risk as well as the driving public around him EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS. 2008 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA- Walla Walla, WA
While stopped at traffic light at idle, I can hear a knocking noise in the engine compartment. Took it to my mechanic, and believe it is coming from the lower engine. He removed the oil pan and found that the rod and crankshaft bearing has movement. The car is 2008 and only has 36,000 miles.

2012 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA- Short Hills, NJ
The airbag system defect light went on and stayed on. The diagnosis from an authorized former Suzuki dealer (Lincoln of Wayne, Wayne, New Jersey), charging approximately $270 for the diagnosis, was that the occupant sensing pad including the bottom seat on the passenger side had failed. This particular part had already been replaced under an NHTSA-related safety recall campaign approximately three years ago. The replaced part had not previously actually failed, but now the replacement part has failed. Contacting Suzuki headquarters in California, I found that they were saying the replacement part needed is not in stock and if it were in stock, they would be charging approximately $2700 for the part not including installation. Please contact Suzuki of America and have them produce more of the part and fund a campaign to replace the faulty replacement parts. Thank you.
