AS I was driving mr rv. down the road , the rear side window just fell off onto the roadway. I believe the window is made by lippert. On the rv forum there are a lot of people experiencing this same problem.

While driving on the highway at 60 MPH in a thunderstorm, the passenger windshield wiper collided with the driver's windshield wiper and became entangled with each other. I completely lost all wiper function and could no longer see the road. This was a life-threatening situation, with traffic all around us, and luckily, I was able to pull off the highway after about a quarter of a mile until the rain subsided. My wife and two grandchildren were in the RV at the time and this could have been a disaster. I called Thor this morning and they are tight-lipped about this problem happening to others, but I see in online Thor forums that even after an earlier recall, it is still happening to more recent models like mine. In my case, the splines on the passenger wiper arm are totally stripped, as are the spices on the wiper arm pivot shaft. The driver's wiper was OK after taking it off and re-aligning it, but may not hold since those splines were also partially stripped. Thor needs to take responsibility for putting in such an unreliable wiper system which is manufactured by Wexco Industries. I'm now stuck with $500 in parts (more if the driver's side also needs replacement), not including labor, to "fix" their poorly designed wiper system, not to mention the near disaster we experienced.

While driving at highway speeds (70 mph+/-), my diesel powered vehicle 'derated' (I believe that is the term) for no apparent reason. An engine light came on related to a DEF system malfunction. I can provide the code later. My vehicle instantly went from 70 mph to 15 mph on a crowded interstate, on an inside lane. With some difficulty I managed to make across three lanes to the shoulder and turned off the vehicle. After a quick inspection, finding nothing obvious, I proceeded down the shoulder to a gas station. I tried to top off my DEF tank, but it was full. After an hour the engine light went off and the vehicle drove normal. So I'm back on the highway. I went another hour, the engine light came on and the vehicle derated at highway speed. Same white knuckle lane crossing. This time I went to a truck repair shop, who diagnosed it as an issue with the DEF system. They reset the engine light and the vehicle seem to drive normally again. This time we management to make it home without an additional incident. I went to a local diesel mechanic (Ford refused to honor the warranty) who replaced the DEF pump assembly. I think it was specifically the float arm, or the mechanism that measure DEF tank levels. It cost over $1000. While I have several issues with the situation, the primary one is that a perfectly sound vehicle purposely derating the speed from 70 mph to 15 mph in heavy traffic on an exceptionally hot day. Going across three lanes of interstate traffic decelerating to 15 mph, was more than a little scary. Someone could have easily been killed. And the fact that this system is designed to shut you down over exhaust emissions is insane and dangerous. The easy analogy would be derating a gas vehicle over an oxygen sensor failure. I'm hoping that if enough other people complain about this, the government will fix a problem they created. The craziest thing about this is my DEF pump was actually working.

The coach windows on the RV keep failing. Last year I had two windows fail on my drive to Wyoming. The sealant that hold the window bracket comes detached from the glass widow. When that happens the window flaps is the wind and if the window swing higher than 45 degrees, the window can slide off the top rail, and become a projectile for anyone traveling behind me. Since my windows didn’t fall off, I bought new sealant and reattached the rails back to my glass. Those two windows have been good since. Then this summer I lost and different body window (lower bunk). But this time, the window just flew off without me noticing. I sure hope it didn’t cause an accident or injury anyone. Lippert is the manufacturer of the window. And they have a recall on them, however the recall ends 2 month before my unit was built. So they say I don’t qualify for the recall. However I have had 3 windows fail for the sale reason and cause as the recall that ends 2 month before my unit was built. The recall window obviously needs to be expanded as many more units are effected. Talking with other owners of the same model on my Facebook group, this is a know problem. With a lot of failures. Someone is going to get injured when a window falls on the road and causes a accident or possibly even death.

Generator leaking by house connection, looks like bad clamps. Mechnic Service representatives manager stated bad clamps by manafacture and it is a safety issue due to the amount of fuel leaking from the lines to include no shutoff valve by the generator to shut it off. Bad design for customers safety. It can cause a fire while driving. Please address this safety concerns.

The contact owns a 2014 Thor Challenger RV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH in a heavy rainstorm, the windshield wipers became inoperable, creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The contact stated that during the failure, the windshield wiper setting was set to high speed; however, the windshield wiper module failed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the RV was previously serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V162000 (Visibility). The local dealer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 50,000.

RV- 2022 Thor Miramar 34.5 With 2021 Ford F53 Chassis I appreciate your attention because this is the BIGGEST issue and safety concern. We spent over 160k on this class A that doesn't even feel safe to drive. As the driver or passenger, we are white knuckled. There is no stability when driving. The steering wheel is all over the place. A gust of wind pushes us off the road, every bump completely jars the camper. This is absolutely horrible. It is unsafe and scary. We are very experienced drivers and have drove large trucks and fire trucks. But this doesn't compare to anything we have ever driven. But they said don't worry you can fix that: Install springs, shocks, sway bar, trac bar. All an additional added cost! 160k now add a 10k more to make it safe on the road. Why would Thor allow this on the road? Why build a camper that you know is unstable and then say oh you can add this to improve your drive. It's called taking the short cut, bare minimum to get it out the door. And it's a horrible practice. Why not add stability to the camper. This camper model 34.6 is extremely unstable while driving.

I was advised by my Cummins Service Center that the outer glass of double pane hung windows are at risk of falling out while driving. Evidently the glue bonding the two pieces of glass has failed. It’s happening on multiple windows. Evidently this was addressed for some newer models. The windows are made by Hehr which I believe is now owned by Lippert Industries. I feel like this should be a mandatory recall due to its possibility of falling out or off, going airborne like a missile and causing an accident. I noticed this happening before but it wasn’t until I was advised by a Cummins Coach Mechanic that it was as bad as it is.

Cabinets are falling off ceiling. Screws falling out. Could ask on passenger side bed.

Unloading the storage compartments and discovered that the compartment wall was melted. It is directly next to, about 6 inches away from, the exhaust pipe.
