2025 TOYOTA SIENNA HYBRID Complaints

The drivers side mirror fluters / wobbles / distorts the image such that it is unusable during the day and dangerous at night.

While driving my 2025 Toyota Sienna XLE with Sure Grip Push-Rock electronic hand controls, the acceleration suddenly stops working without warning. When this happens, the hand control will not accelerate at all — only the brake still works — leaving me coasting in traffic with no way to speed up. This has happened multiple times at different speeds and creates an immediate danger because I can only slow down or stop, not accelerate out of the situation. At the same time these acceleration failures occur, the vehicle shows a “SRS Airbag System Malfunction” warning. Toyota’s internal records show the airbag system had faults before I bought the vehicle. The airbag warning and the acceleration failure often appear together, which makes me believe there is an electrical or wiring problem affecting multiple systems. I also discovered that Toyota documented underbody impact damage from a pothole months before I purchased the vehicle. This damage was not disclosed to me, and CARFAX does not show any record of this damage, even though Toyota’s own service history confirms it. The CARFAX report I received states “No accidents or damage reported to CARFAX”. I have owned multiple BraunAbility-converted vehicles, and all of them have had electrical issues. BraunAbility cuts out the bottom of the vehicle for the lowered-floor conversion and splices in their own wiring harness, which I believe is causing repeated electrical problems across different vehicles, including this one. Because the acceleration fails, the airbag system shows active faults, and the wiring appears to interfere with the vehicle’s safety systems, I am reporting this as a serious safety hazard.

Although the control panel indicates a minimum temperature of 60°F, performance remains inconsistent; the temperature gauge reads 67°F.

We purchased a used 2025 Toyota Sienna a few weeks ago. The other day, my husband put his phone and wallet into the center console compartment and closed the lid. When we went to retrieve those items, the lid only opened partially. We were finally able to remove the wallet but the phone had slid down into the compartment where the door to that console opening slides into when you open and close it. The lid would not open all of the way and blocked our access to that space when you opened it. The only way to remove the phone was to take it to our local dealership where they spent hours removing seats and pieces of the console to remove the phone from the inaccessible area and then put everything back together. This cost us roughly four hours of work time and $311.99 out of our own pocket. Apparently this is a known issue with this vehicle and is a design flaw where items of the right size (including iPhones) can slide into that compartment while the lid is closed and then are inaccessible.

Driver-side mirror (glass part only) vibrates while driving, no matter the speed. This causes a distorted rear view — for example, it's hard to read the license plate of a car on your left.
