A plastic Fuel Pressure Sensor bracket holder, part number: 30720139, found on Volvo V8 XC90 and S80 (2005-2011) can crack, resulting in a fuel leak within the engine compartment. On 9-23-2022, my daughter took her car to a Midas for an oil change. The odometer read 87,034. They installed a new oil filter and 6 quarts of fully synthetic 5W-30 oil, and said the oil had been low when she brought it in. On 10-2-22, my daughter called me and said her Volvo had a message light in the dash: “No oil pressure.” I advised her to go directly home (it was late in the evening and no mechanic was open then.) She and her roommate consulted the manual to see how precisely to check the oil on this exact car, and no oil registered on the dipstick. I advised her to look under the car in the garage to see if there was any oil leaking; none was found. I told her she cannot drive it and risk driving with absolutely no oil. The car was not driven the next day, 10-23-22, and then our insurance company's Roadside Assistance picked up the car on the morning of 10-24-22. At my request they towed the car to the Midas where she had the oil change. The odometer was around 88,830. The car consumed 6 quarts of oil in one month and 1,796 miles of driving. After inspecting the Volvo, the service person at Midas called me to inform me that there is no oil leak, and that the 2013 Volvo S60 has known oil consumption issues. He said the oil is being burned through the motor. He said the oil is seeping past the piston rings and burning internally. He said the oil piston rings have scored the engine wall. This is all definitely out of my expertise, but I took notes on all of it. He said she must check the oil every 500 miles and top it off constantly. He said failing this the entire engine would be ruined if running with no oil. I believe the normal mileage between synthetic oil changes is 7,500-10,000 miles. I met with the Volvo dealer (see attached letter I presented) and they informed me they would need to do tests, at my expense (hundreds of dollars) and I may need to replace the engine, almost fully at my expense. Please read the two attachments below!

Windshield seal bond at top failed resulting in loose front windshield not being attached to the body. This is leaking water and leading to poor visibility that is dangerous but more concerning is the detachment of the window from the body. This would be extremely dangerous in a collision. The car is parked at this time due to being dangerous to drive.

The rear doors can inadvertently open in cold when driving down the road without warning. This has happened on a few occasions, even when the dash lights are showing the doors are closed and locked.

The contact owns a 2019 Volvo XC90. The contact stated that upon returning to the vehicle, she noticed that her sunglasses case and tennis can located in the interior of the vehicle had been chewed. The contact stated that upon looking further, she noticed that the third row seats leather coating had been chewed. However, the contact had not transported pets on the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that rodents were entering the interior of the vehicle through a hole they had created on the rubber seal between the dashboard and the engine compartment. The dealer informed the contact that the rodents were attracted by the soy-based wires coating. The manufacturer was notified of the failure of the failure and informed the contact that she would need to pay a repair fee as the vehicle would not be repaired under warranty. The dealer replaced the leather coating on the seats and the seats stuffing. The dealer installed a new seal on the hood, wrapped tape around the soy-based wires coating to prevent rodents intrusion. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

On Friday, January 6, 2023, I left work in my 2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge. As I merged onto I26 nothing appeared out of the ordinary. As I began to speed up, my tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) alerted me to a low-pressure situation. I pulled to the side of the road and requested roadside assistance. The rear driver-side tire had a screw embedded in the tread. A plug was placed by roadside assistance, and I was told to proceed to the dealership for a new tire as the side wall had damage. About a mile from the dealership my TPMS again began to alarm. I needed to be more familiar with my vehicle to troubleshoot the issue, so Hendricks advised me to return. Hendricks again inspected the vehicle. They stated that the driver’s side tire had been over-inflated. I left the dealership to return home. As I was exiting I26 the TPMS monitor again alarmed me. I was surprised to see that it stated that all the tires were low on pressure. I was a short distance from my destination, so I decided to proceed and investigate there as it was dark. At the restaurant, I looked at the tires, which looked perfectly fine and not over or under-inflated. After dinner, I left the restaurant approximately two miles from my house and decided to contact Hendricks in the morning. Nothing was unusual about the car as I turned right into my development. One block into the development is a stop sign. At the stop sign, I turned left to go to my home. As I began to apply the brakes, the car started to alarm, “Brake Failure.” I frantically pumped the brakes, and the CAR DID NOT STOP! It kept going straight right toward our community pool and lake! Straight ahead of me is our community pool and a 300-acre lake (it is a retention pond but calling it that does not overinflate lot prices, so they call it a lake). I did not end up in an accident or the lake because I quickly “skidded” the car sideways.

SAFETY RECALL R10125 for this vehicle has not been performed as of this date; received Safety Recall Notice letter from Volvo Car USA LLC 29 NOV 2021; have contacted dealer once immediately upon receipt of letter; Volvo Corporation 4 to 6 times telephonic and email with the last response (Volvo is looking into it) on 15 DEC 2022 upon which I have again responded with an email for a status check. My perception is that this VIN number has a three spoke steering wheel which would have to be manufactured (not four and requires different airbag) and that is not going to happen (last unoffical response from Volvo dealer in Jan 2022). Request assitance from NHTSA. Phone no is 5302647381 home or 7573282950 I could not find a way to report this failure to perform safety recall on your website
