Without warning, car loses BLIS, electric windows and seats fail to work, ventilation system is inoperable. Supposedly fixed by dealer, but same issues have arisen within 60 days of repair.

The lovely GM transmission suddenly decided to not shift while going uphill. Pushing the accelerator just made the RPMs go up and up while the car did nothing. Then a warning light. Transmission service Then limp mode. And all I could do literally was go 5 mph then. It occurred as I was turning at a light. I did call my local volvo dealer who kind of laughed about the price of a new transmission and told me that was all I could do.

Rear passenger doors would get locked stuck, and can not get unlocked from inside or outside. This issue would remain even after locking/unlocking car multiple times or enabling/disabling child lock multiple times. Dealer suggested this is common issue in this model of the car, and needs an expensive repair of the latch mechanism. This is a safety hazard as this would would trap the passengers inside the car in case of accident or any other emergency. Please look in to this matter, this should not be happening in a relatively new(5 years), low mileage, always garaged car like Volvo.

For the last 18 months, when getting on or while driving on the interstate at speeds of 55 - 70 mph, the steering wheel vibrates and a vibration is felt throughout the vehicle. When braking a pulsation is felt in the brake pedal and the car shudders as it slows. I have taken it to the dealer and they cannot duplicate the issue. I've seen that other Volvo XC-60 have had similar issues with brakes/rotors.

The driver airbag has been under recall per letter dated 12/14/21, NHTSA RECALL #21V-800 We scheduled initial repair with dealer upon receipt of notice last December, however, this has not been accomplished and as of 9/23/22 as we are continually told the part needed remains on backorder. We had contacted Volvo directly on 3/31/22 and they stated the dealer would have to order the part. The "incident" or complaint filed here is due to the inability of being able to have this recalled part replaced in over 9 months and belief that manufacturer is delaying required replacement part due to the age of the vehicle.

About 6 months ago I was driving at night and my left headlight went out and about 3 minutes later my other headlight went out? I had to pull over there and wait till day light. When I got home I took the headlights out to find bare wires on both of them? They were just disintegrated!?!? I called Volvo took find out about a new wire harness and was told I have to buy the whole engine wire assembly, costing over $3000.00. I bought 2 more headlight assemblies online and had the same problem!?!? When I tried to change the bulb the coating on the wire just fell off!?!?!? I have heard in other Volvo Forums other people have had this problem with Volvo's headlight wiring problem!?!? It needs to be recalled before someone gets killed if they haven't already!?!?? I can send pics.

While on my commute to work I received an “engine propulsion system” error message. While traveling on a busy interstate with a speed limit of 70 mph I received a second error stating “reduced engine performance, max speed reduced” I was unable to accelerate above 45 mph which seems incredibly unsafe.

I brought the car to the Volvo dealer for my 20,000 miles service. They told me that the rear rotors and pads are worn and need to be replaced. The front brakes are fine. I think that this is a design flaw. No one expects the rear brakes to wear first, and certainly not after only 20,000 miles!
