Coach door plexiglass came loose and was flapping on the highway. It was removed and reglued with acrylic (?) glue by a glass shop. That later failed and the plexiglass fully detatched and fell out on a short trip. I was unable to relocate it. Safety glass was then made to fit and again glued, which has now held for over a year. I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle. The plexiglass window was original to the RV.

I’m reporting that my plexiglass coach door window has previously detached 2/3rds of the way up from the bottom. It happened instantly while driving. I pulled over and duct taped it

The contact owns a 2022 Winnebago Era built on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis. The contact stated that after the RV was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V694000 (Structure, Equipment) there was 0% battery voltage indicated on the battery after starting the RV. The contact stated that while at a gas station and attempting to start the generator, the generator failed to start. The contact noticed a burning odor entering the cabin of the RV. The contact called the Fire Department to determine if a fire had occurred. The Fire Department stated there was no fire; however, the Fire Department did confirm a chemical burning odor. The contact was unaware of a Fire report being filed. The contact stated that the dealer had not performed the recall repair as stated in the remedy. The RV was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as a possible relay failure. The contact stated that the relay had been replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was started for the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer stated that the remedy had not repaired the RV and a Technical Service Bulletin might be initiated to correct the failure. The failure mileage was 13,000.

2020 Winnebago Navion RV coach door window (Lippert/Metalarte) became partially detached. Adhesive failed on upper edge and 1/3 of the length posing a safety hazard had the window completely detached. The plexiglass panel was removed and re-attached by an automotive window service provider. Window integrity continues today.

Plexiglass window on house door to RV separates. This is a known issue to Winnebago which has provided warranty coverage for up to three years, even though the problem typically manifests at or after three years. The window separates from the house door either partially or completely - in the latter case - causing the window to fly off and pose a threat to other drivers. The sudden separation of the window is a safety issue to occupants of the RV since it may not be immediately apparent what the problem is while driving at interstate speeds. There are no warning lights for this window. The problem appears many times on the View/Navion 2020 owners webpage. Winnebago says the window is attached to the door by a company in Italy. Winnebago customer service says they are uncertain what the best fix is other than to try different adhesives or tape the window back assuming it is not missing due to a total separation from the RV. In my case I was traveling out of state on an interstate when a partial separation occurred. Not knowing what happened I immediately pulled over. Duct tape did not hold the window - eventually, Gorilla Tape allowed a temporary fix. Dealer says "repair" will take at least two hours at $200/hour. If plexiglass breaks during repair a new window will need to be purchased in addition to labor.

Our brand new 2024 Winnebago Revel was smoking/caught fire from the lithium house battery while driving from Washington state to Alaska. The incident occurred right before US customs on the highway to Alaska. House power failed while driving so we pulled over to diagnose the issue, when attempting to restore power to the vehicle, the positive terminal of the battery began smoking/caught fire. I immediately cut off the breaker and the alternator disconnect. Since the lithium battery is so large this could have spread and burned the entire vehicle, possibly harming my wife, our dog and myself. This was reproduced by the Winnebago service center in Anchorage, Alaska upon our arrival. There were no warnings or symptoms, if we had not noticed the power failure to the house systems we would have not known to pull over and inspect the battery.

The Zamp solar charge control panel 30 amp fuse melted. The wires got very hot. The solar charging system is overheating and susceptible to fire. We believe Winnebago is aware of this issue and is documented under NHTSA Campaign Number 25V-541. We were made aware of the potential problem by a Winnebago users Facebook group. When we opened the panel to inspect the fuse, it was melted so much that we cannot remove the fuse. We weren't aware of a problem due to any symptoms. The Balmar alternator and MC-618 regulator overheated and caused the 250 amp circuit breaker to blow and then the alternator went into a lock out state. The alternator is not charging the Winnebago batteries now which impacts how we can use the RV. We cannot unlock it ourselves and there are numerous reports of this happening after Winnebago recall 174.

The solar panels on this RV are wired to the solar controller through a 30amp fuse. The fuse holder gets extremely hot during peak solar charging in the afternoon. In order to inspect the 30amp fuse I removed it and it appears to be partially burnt. I am concerned about the heat that is generated at this fuse and fuse holder and I am aware of other Winnebago Ekkos reporting similar findings. I will leave the fuse removed until further notice from Winnebago.

A fuse between the solar panels and solar controller melted and caused it to flame up. The incident could have caused a major fire. The problem has occurred on other units with various other owners. No. Winnebago is aware of the incident but we have not heard anything from them. There were no indications that this was going to happen.

Fuse for Zamp controller on 2024 Transit Ekko class C camper melted and caused a fire. Due to insufficient oxygen, the fire luckily self-extinguished.
