BRIDGESTONE TIRES Complaints

The vehicle was proceeding on the freeway when the drivers side rear tire blew out and went completely flat. The low pressure tire warning system that alerted us never indicated that the air pressure was low or getting low, but rather it had instantly dropped to 0 PSI. There was no integrity left to the tire which posed an extreme safety hazard to the stability of the vehicle. Upon contacting Bridgestone I was asked to have a third party company inspect the tire to which we complied. The inspection revealed that the tire had suffered a failure due to a manufacturing defect and not wear/tear or accidental damage. The tires equipped on the vehicle are approximately one year old with less than 3,800 miles on them. Bridgestone is refusing to honor a replacement due to their defect unless I purchase an extended warranty for all 4 tires. Tire Size: 215 / 55 R 17

I have purchased a set of Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra (P 235 / 55 R 19 105 W XL front, P 255 / 50 R 19 107 W XL back) in August 2022 for my 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro S RWD EV. After only 12,000 miles, tire dry rot started showing up in June 2023 on all tires. The tires have a 80,000 miles warranty so I don't know how come they started to dry rot only after 12,000 miles. If the tires fail while driving, this can be a severe safety hazard as the vehicle may lose control shall the tires fail.

drive speed approx. 5-10MPH slow down to almost stop intersection red light stop, over a very small bump. All sudden I hear a pop and all air is leak out and TPMS sensor goes crazy...Pull over and check, so there was a hole approx. 2-4 Inches on the sidewall tire unrepairable. This is an unsafe product on the road my opinion. Can't imaging if I was drive on freeway, could be a major fatality. Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT 245/45R19XL 102Y BSW, suppose to be run flat. But not exactly I can't barely limping, luckily there was Allen Tires just block away, I was barely limp in, but my rim now womp. I think this products is unsafe on the road.

The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Highlander equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: Alenza Sport A/S, Tire Size: 235/55/R20, DOT Number: 1W28AALA12522. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22T021000 (Tires) however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. Several unknown dealers were contacted and confirmed that the parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to a third-party service center. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Tire Size: 225/50RF17 Tire Type: Bridgestone Driveguard While driving my car southbound on I225 through Aurora, CO on 5/19/2023, I received an indication of a low right front tire. As I have received this warning when the tire pressure varies due to weather, I proceeded home. When I arrived home in Englewood, CO, I immediately inflated the tire to its proper pressure. After shutting down the compressor, I heard a hiss coming from the tire and found a gash near the rim. The errand that I ran on that day took me from home to I70 and Chambers and back home. At no time during this trip did I recall hitting a pothole or curb that would have caused this. Could it have been from a previous incident? Possibly, but when I took my car to Coloradoland Tire & Service at 6600 S. Quebec, Centennial, CO, the service advisor informed me that another customer had a similar problem (name can be provided upon request) with the same type of tire. Is there a problem with these tires?

The Bridgestone T30 EVO 180/55/17 simply blew out. NO notice. The tire has approximately 2500 miles on it. It was properly inflated at 42 PSI as per Yamaha. I was going 55 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. I walked the road where the tire failed and there was NOTHING in the road that I had run over. I have contacted Bridgestone and am awaiting their packet to come in the mail so I can mail them the tire back. I can send pics if need be. Cannot find the correct tire size in the drop-down. But these tires are Bridgestone Dueler H/T 265/60/20 685. These tires are extremely unstable on this vehicle going any rate of speed on the highway with rigid surface. The vehicle sways back-and-forth as if it was on ice and has a little to no control road conditions are clear when this happens. Even worse when it rains I want to take the vehicle on the highway. I believe due to the gap of the tread pattern. They are catching on the grooves and throw the vehicle back-and-forth dangerously. I had also had a trailer that weighed an estimate of 8500 pounds with the tires, and was worse as the trailer would fishtail tire pressure is at factory recommendation as well. These tires need to be reevaluated and does not belong on this type of vehicle. There are no warning lamps that come on other than a very unstable ride. My vehicle was involved in an accident due to a driver swerving directly into our lane on the highway as a result of trying to gain control. The tires were very unstable, and did not have control as a result of trying to gain control on the passenger side of my truck I slid in the concrete barrier when trying to correct the steering.

225/40R18 front and 255/35R18 rear on 2 separate incidents. Both times slow leaks lead to finding tires separating. Called Bridgestone and they assured me of no known issues with tires which I'm now finding extremely hard to believe. This has to be a safety issue at the very least. The attached photos should prove my point. First set purchased in 2021 (thought it was a fluke). Then the second set in 2023. Both times separation was facing in towards the body of car, so one wouldn't notice unless underneath the car or tire removed. I even purchased the lifetime wheel alignment in between and had them aligned regularly, so that rules that out.

Both rear tires have broken belts at 26,700 miles. I have the tires if want to inspect. Dealer confirmed they are bad - takes no responsibility for warranty. I just had vehicle at dealer to fix under warranty rear brakes. Did not notice problem at that time. no warning lamps. Noticeable from increased noise level when driving. I have no idea why they should have failed. I suspect a manufacturing defect.

In just two years, the four original tires were severely worn and had a mileage of 35Kmiles, which greatly affected safe driving.
