    - Vacaville, CA

Car indicated "Front left side marker light defective" Upon further research, some VIN's were included in a recall for this problem, but some were left off. My vehicle was left off, despite the warning coming on while driving. The marker light being defective increases likelihood of a crash or other incident.

  • 2024 AUDI Q8
    - Cloverdale, CA

Our Audiu Q8 has had a host of safety issues since purchased in December 2023 and we have been denied or delayed on a buyback twice. The vehicle has been unable to be moved 3 times due to battery (12V and relay) issues that left my wife and [XXX] stranded at home. On one occasion the vehicle could not be moved by the tow service whatsoever. The charging system cable (known to cause fire hazard by Audi with open safety bulletins) created a fire in our 240 outlet box and also melted the plug and connected cable. The vehicle also continues to read road signs on exit ramps and hard brake check almost causing accidents while driving on the highway with cruise control. The feature for traffic sign recognition is tuned off but the vehicle continues to do this hard and sudden brake checking. Audi continues to drag their feet on repairs and still has not reimbursed us for electrical expenses from the fire damage over 6 weeks later. So models which have digital cockpits that were produced before July 2021 are faulty and the screen goes black. I was on the I95 when the display was gone and I didn’t have a speedometer. The manufacturer is already aware and accepts there’s a issue but doesn’t have a recall.

  • 2015 AUDI Q5
    - Downey, CA

After paying to run an inspection test recommended by Audi USA, it was confirmed that the issue of the excess oil consumption was with the piston, and they also recommended changing the engine. It puts me at risk every time I drive the car because I am not sure how much oil my car has at this point. I have been reporting to the dealer my observation of excessive oil consumption. They kept telling me that it was because my car was old. I have an Audi Q5 2015 with 85,600 miles. I have done all my manufacturing maintenance at the dealer, so they have records that I do take care of my car. I paid to run a diagnostic test suggested by Audi USA. I was told that I have to pay about $30,000 to fix the engine ($13,000 + for the piston and $17,000 + for the engine). The car started warning me that it needed oil soon. I reported it to Audi USA and told them that this issue was one of the recalls done in 2017. I was told that I did not qualify for any coverage because it was only for cars that had an issue in 2017. Now, at 85,600 miles, I am using almost two-quarters of an ounce for every 1,000 miles. I called Audi USA over a month ago, and they asked me to take my car to the dealer so that they could run the test. I had to pay for the test only to confirm that I needed to change the engine and piston. This is a costly luxury car, and nobody should be going through this issue. Audi is responsible for this manufacturing defect.
