Front Left Side Marker Light Defective alert repeating despite there being no identifiable issue with any lights. After checking with the owners manual - it says contact your Audi service. Checking online reveals that several other Audi owners with an AUDI Q7 2017 model have experienced this exact same issue. When the issue happens under warranty the headlight in question is replaced for around $4,000. If not under warranty it is an out of pocket expense - a very high cost. According to sources online this exact issue is covered by Audi Recall campaign 97CB (NHTSA ID : 16V642000) but only for some VIN numbers and not for many others experiencing the same issue.

Front right side marker light defective warning message populates when the vehicle is started, and also when temperatures are low, or conditions are wet. It also causes the ADAS components to be deactivated some of the times it occurs.

While driving on a city street in Ann Arbor Michigan, the manual transmission shift lever snapped off. The lever detached at the base right above the spring assembly that allows the shifter to be moved into reverse. I was stuck in third gear and had to feather the clutch and keep the revs high in order to get through a traffic light and pull into a parking garage. The part required a complete replacement (completed myself).

PCV valve and PCV solenoid failure. Covered under an Audi extended warranty for 2013-2016, but not 2017. Exactly same failure.

Fuel tank and EVAP canister has failed on my car out of nowhere. Yes available for inspection. The safety of me and others have been comprised as the fuel is no longer going into my car, but rather leaking out the excess drain hole potentially causing a fire or igniting without me knowing. Along with air being introduced into the fuel tank my engine was sputtering as I had no idea what was happening until later. Once air was mixing with the fuel and the car was running it was hard to drive past 45mph without the car struggling and violently shaking and jerking. Therefore possibly being a hazard for other drivers as I was driving on both highway and local roads. Dealer has confirmed the issue and problem then decided to quote me $6000 for the repairs even after stating it was a design flaw from Audi. The dealership has looked at it and just told me it needs to be replaced due to a design flaw, but took no blame or responsibility of their own to even help me. I would say about a month ago I realized my car was acting weird when I tried to put in gas and it wouldn't fill up all the way as if something was clogged or fuel wasn't being allowed into the tank. Then another week after out of nowhere I started to see the fuel spilling through the excess drain hole then someone pointed out that my gas is leaking out the rear. No warning signs to be exact, just the fact that I couldn't fill up and the gas pump kept clicking on me when I tried to fill up gas like I normally would.

Unknown at this moment service vist is next week. The problem is a know piston ring issues on other years of same engine with massive oil consumption 1 qt a week with minimal driving less then 100 miles. Spent 3k on pvc and coolant pump that are a known issue of totaling engine but burning oil non stop and risk or seized engine if on highway

Audi Q7 sunroof front sunroof glass spontaneously exploded while driving on freeway at 8:30am going 75mph. No extreme temperature swing, no water on glass. Heard loud gunshot sound and looked up to see hole about 5-7" wide in sunroof. Tempered glass pieces falling onto fabric sunscreen.

After a hard rainstorm the Comfort System Control Module (CCM) errored apparently from getting wet from a clogged sun roof drainage line, causing water to enter the rear left side compartment in which the CCM is housed (behind the insulation). The entire area is still damp 3 days later, and water is also located in the tire well and the rear right side compartment. The CCM error in turn caused a cascade of other errors, including causing the rear lights to stop working, an obvious safety hazard. As is evident from online discussion boards this is a frequent issue with this model and a clear design flaw. On May 3, 2024, while driving to work, the vehicle acutely started to make a loud clicking noise in the engine compartment. I parked the vehicle and looked for a warning light indicator on the dashboard to determine the problem, but no indicator light emerged. I then called Audi Omaha and spoke with the Service Manager who kindly arranged to have my vehicle picked up and a loaner dropped off. I did ask at that time whether it was safe to have somebody drive my vehicle to Audi given the severity of the noise and I was told that since there was not a warning light on the dashboard, it would be ok. I later discovered that my vehicle stalled on the way to Audi Omaha and required a tow. On May 6, 2024, I received a report of the problem and the estimate for repairs. It was explained that the head of a spark plug had broken off into the engine causing the piston to make contact with the valve in cylinder 3 resulting in engine damage which was beyond repair. Additionally, a second spark plug had been misfiring for several days. The estimate to replace the engine: $9,282.03. To my surprise, the multi-point vehicle inspection report I received on the same day reported that everything (aside from rear brake pad wear) passed inspection – including the engine and spark plugs! On May 7, 2024, I called Audi Omaha to express my concern that an entire engine would need replaced on a 6-year old luxury vehicle with only 60,000 miles and spark plugs that were replaced at 40,000 miles prior to my purchase of the vehicle. Even more concerning is that no warning light indictor ever displayed on the dashboard (despite being informed that the vehicles computer system had detected changes in the engine compartment 2-days prior to this event). Because of these glaring safety concerns, this issue was escalated to the Audi central region division who declined to provide assistance despite the faulty spark plug and the malfunction of the warning indicator light.

Gear Shift Micro Switch This is a documented issue recalled for VW and Audi vehicles between 2015-2019. VW recalled all and still is fixing the issue in cars from those years, yet AUDI decided to just offer an extended warranty to those cars for that specific issue. Who is responsible VW or AUDI. If Audi is owned by VW and the issue is in both types of cars made by them, why aren't AUDI vehicles included to the recall and repair.
