Multiple alerts reported by the car's system for electrical malfunction and steering wheel dysfunction. These alerts keep coming at least 3 times a week. Car has been to the dealership, Audi of Raleigh who has inspected the car 3 times and unable to find the problem. It would seem that the elctric malfunction and steering malfunction would be safety risks to keep driving the car

After heavy down pour, the car was driven while the streets were still very wet. The car was driven through a 2 - 3 inch puddle of water that lasted less than 1 second, which caused a splash to the passenger side of the car, (the middle of the street did not have an accumulation of water) and within 30 secs caused the power steering warning light came on. This was not a flooded street, just the normal accumulation of water on the side of a residential curbed street. The steering immediately started to stiffen up and required increased effort to turn the steering wheel. The first warning lamp was yellow and stated that continued driving was still allowed, but after about 3 min the lamp turned red, and the message indicated "Steering malfunction, Do not drive vehicle". This occurred on a street where the speed limit was 30 mph, so safety at that time was not a big issue, but if this had happened on street where increased speed and more turning was required, safety could be a big issue if this happened suddenly. I was able to get the car to a nearby shop within 5 min, and the next day moved the car to the Audi West Houston. Audi has identified the power steering rack as faulty is in the process of replacing the electric power steering rack assembly. This car is a 2019 AUDI A6 with only 41k miles.

The contact owns a 2019 Audi A5. The contact stated while starting the vehicle and shifting into reverse(R), the message "SOS System Deactivated" was displayed, and the rearview camera became inoperable. The contact shifted to park(P) and shifted back to reverse(R); however, the failure persisted. The contact stated upon restarting the vehicle and shifting to reverse(R), the rearview camera became operable, but the message "SOS System Deactivated" was displayed. Additionally, the contact stated that while his wife was at a complete stop two weeks later, the Audi pre-sense warning light illuminated, and an alarm sounded. The windows rolled up independently, and the front driver's side seat belt tightened around the waist of the contact's wife. The contact stated that the seat belt untightened, and his wife was able to drive to the residence. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

Side marker light defective message appears erroneously. Side marker light is intact and functional. Error message is a distraction and will fail to accurately notify of real issues with side marker light.

1. Steering malfunction, yes. 2. In the course of driving on [XXX] through a mountain pass in Colorado with snow and poor driving conditions, the steering mechanism on the vehicle failed resulting in not being able to maneuver the vehicle out of the lane or off the road safely. If this happened while other vehicles were in front/behind or to the side of us, or if this would have happened in another mountain road without emergency curbing/exits - we could have easily been killed. 3. The vehicle is at the Audi Denver dealership (had to be towed) and they confirmed the code "Steering: malfunction! Please stop vehicle" that displayed on the panel. 4. No, tried to call Audi but there was a 2 hour wait to talk to someone and even then, not sure I would have reached anyone that could have helped. 5. Warning message "Steering: malfunction! Please stop vehicle" displayed with red steering wheel icon and exclamation mark. No other warning or sign of failure. This is the problem, driving at highway speed, get a steering malfunction warning, can't steer or control the vehicle - have to stop "safely". This could have been catastrophic. In any other vehicle if rack/pinon slips or power steering fluid fails, you can still manage to steer and avoid collision, this Audi under these conditions gave no such option. The contact owns a 2015 Audi A3. The contact stated that while her husband was attempting to park the vehicle in the driveway, he noticed a strong fuel odor. The contact’s husband inspected the vehicle and noticed a fuel leak from the fuel tank pump. The contact husband refilled the fuel tank, however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the charcoal canister and a filter needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer confirmed an unknown recall was not related to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.

Motor mount is leaking hydraulic fluid. Available for inspection. At around 69,000 miles this was found by an independent service center. Motor mount must be replaced. There was no knowledge other than vehicle shaking. No lights. It was detected by other issues and codes being ran.

First time in November the sign came on that there was an electrical system failure. We took the car to the shop, in Audi Raleigh and they said that they fixed the issue. Although, we had to wait for an available appointment for over a month. This time, after 3 months, the same sign came on, electrical system failure, plus all wheel drive faiture. While driving to the dealership the car stopped abbraptlly on the highway and we had to call a tow truck. This was scary because the car stopped and just would not move,. Audi knows that all 2022 -tron models have this issue and disregards the safety of the customers.

The contact owns a 2015 Audi A3. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V110000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving 35-38 MPH, the vehicle shuddered, and there was a strong gasoline odor coming from the A/C vents. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled to the side of the road, turned off and exited the vehicle. The contact's father arrived at the scene and inspected the vehicle. The contact then drove to the residence. Additionally, the contact stated that while attempting to refuel the vehicle at the gas station, the gas pump stopped pumping gas in the vehicle even though the gas tank was not full. The contact stated that the vehicle had been leaking fuel while parked in the driveway. The contact's father pushed the vehicle to the side of the road. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

the rear spring cracked and the lower seat where the spring sits deteriorated. Unsafe to drive before replacement. No warnings, just a clunking sound.
