2021 AUDI A8- Potomac, MD
See attached document for complaint. I took my 2021 AUDI A8 to Audi Rockville located at 1125 Rockville Pike; Rockville, MD 20852 on July 18 to fix the recall. After waiting for 2 hours at the dealership, they told me they must go to BestBuy to buy a USB stick and asked if we could re-schedule which we did. I then came back on September 30, and again after 2 hours of waiting, they told me the USB port in the car is not working and that I must pay over $1000 to replace the USB Port so that they can perform the recall. As such we could not get the update done. I followed up with Audi North America Headquarters in Michigan, and they basically told me the same thing that the dealer told me. This issue is very disappointing for two reasons: 1) How can a $100,000+ car be updated using a USB. I have never used the USB port until this Recall. 2) If Audi has no other way to take care of the recall, then Audi should take responsibility for replacing the USB port. The dealership said the USB Port is not part of the recall and it is not under warranty. I am driving a car that is under NHTSA recall violation and Audi should take responsibility for updating the software either by replacing the USB port or perhaps through Wi-Fi. Can NHTSA file a complaint with Audi North America?

2015 AUDI A3- west palm beach, FL
the jet fuel pump is on the recall list for front wheel drive audi a 3 cars - they are only including vin numbers for that type of car - mine is all wheel drive and even though i have the same faulty part in my car they will not take responsibility for it - which is why there is a class action law suit against audi america now - so i am filing all of the things that i can to help in resolving the issue of them misrepresenting a car for a 2nd time to me and selling me something that is unsafe and undriveable. my safety has been put at risk every time i have gotten in this car - it has stopped working on the highway several times putting me at risk. when i come to a light or try to pull out of a parking spot i can't move the car, it shakes and stops driving. this has happened to me more times than i can count and now it doesn't drive at all. this has been confirmed by an auto body shop that has been helping me - this car has been in their shop more times than i can count and i have not been able to drive the car for months - they finally did some research and found the class action law suit against audi for the jet fuel pump. i have already spent money to fix other parts like the reg fuel pump which the dealership also lied to me about before purchasing it. i have brought this issue to the attention of audi usa and they refuse to take responsibility even though when i called them a few months ago they said originally this was a sales problem - and if it was a manufacturing problem they would be able to do something about it - now when i have proof it is in fact a manufacturing problem and defect and there is a law suit against them for this same thing - they will won't help or take any responsibility. yes there were problems soon after i bought the car. it took a while to figure out what was going on as i mentioned it had been in and out of the shop several times before we learned of the real issue and of the defective part, recall, and lawsuit.

2019 AUDI Q5- Manlius, NY
The contact owns a 2019 Audi Q5. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle stopped and jerked, and the RED master warning light illuminated, and the message “Electrical Control Module” failure was displayed. On other occasions, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the turn signals and brake lights failed to operate as intended, and the message "Faulty Brake Light" was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that there was water trapped in the clogged sunroof drain, and the water leaked, and the control module was covered in water. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

2024 AUDI Q3- Madison, NJ
Lease Begin Date: May 1, 2024 Mileage at time of first incident: 16800 Current Mileage: 17,500 Incident Description: This vehicle has exhibited unintended rearward movement on two separate occasions following a "Drive System Malfunction" warning, each occurring immediately after shifting into Drive on an incline. The first incident occurred on February 20, 2025. Immediately after shifting into Drive, the vehicle displayed a "Drive System Malfunction" message and rolled backward before I was able to stop it. My [XXX] child was a passenger. The system reset after restarting the vehicle. The second incident occurred under nearly identical conditions on March 19, 2025, again resulting in unintended rearward movement following the same warning message. My child was again in the vehicle. Time-stamped photographs documenting both events are available. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Audi dealership for inspection. The dealership was unable to replicate the concern. Low-voltage fault codes were identified, including a remote key and secure control module message, but no fault codes directly tied to the drive system were found. No corrective action was taken. I subsequently contacted Audi of America's customer support line and was assigned a Regional Case Manager. Audi's position has been that escalation to Audi Technical Assistance or engineering cannot proceed without dealership replication of the fault. No proactive diagnostic steps have been offered or taken. The concern remains unresolved. This complaint is being filed to document two occurrences of unintended vehicle movement associated with a drivetrain-related warning, and to request that Audi of America be required to investigate and address the root cause. 2025 AUDI RS 3- Riverton, UT
My 2025 Audi RS3 unexpectedly shifts into park and engages the electronic parking brake while the vehicle is in motion at low speeds. This issue has occurred multiple times, has been documented on at least nine occasions, and has undergone four (4) separate service attempts within the first 900 miles. The issue remains unresolved. On multiple occasions, the vehicle became immobilized in active traffic. In one incident, the vehicle shifted into park while making a left-hand turn across a busy intersection, leaving the vehicle stopped in the roadway with oncoming traffic approaching at high speeds. The vehicle would not move and required the driver to exit and perform a full restart before normal operation resumed. In another incident, the vehicle again shifted into park while exiting a parking lot and entering traffic, leaving the vehicle partially in the roadway and creating a hazardous condition for the driver and oncoming traffic. A fault related to the electronic parking brake system was identified and a component was replaced; however, the issue persisted after repair. The dealership has confirmed that the issue can be reproduced but stated that the vehicle is operating as designed. The explanation provided was that shifting body weight while seated and properly restrained may cause the system to behave as if no driver is present. The dealership also indicated that similar behavior could be reproduced on other vehicles during testing in a parking lot environment, rather than under normal driving conditions. Despite this explanation, the behavior results in an unexpected loss of vehicle mobility in traffic, which presents a serious safety risk. There were no consistent warning indicators prior to the events. The vehicle remains available for inspection.

2022 AUDI E-TRON- Crown Point, IN
My drive motors keep failing (so far 3 times) and my emergency braking abruptly stops my vehicle when no true danger is present and I’m in complete control of my vehicle. Currently my vehicle has a constant shuddering while braking which doesn’t feel safe because it’s not braking properly. Audi regional and the dealership refuses to take ownership of the issue. Dealer has confirmed issue and replaced drive motors three times. Each time my braking system has gotten worse. The part was replaced each time under warranty but Audi has not confirmed that a fix has been found and corrected. This means it can occur again and abruptly which can absolutely be a safety hazard as it was each time it failed on me.

2021 AUDI E-TRON- Missouri City, TX
Audi dealership charged fee for a repair that they the, selves acknowledged is under a technical service bulletin and despite my having extended warranty that is supposed to cover such repairs. This is for the main media interface going blank repeatedly every ~5 minutes or so while driving. Audi charged me for a repair that is a known safetyissue and is covered under warranty.

2022 AUDI A4- Novi, MI
My wife drove back home from work around 5:45 PM EST on March 2, 2026 and parked the car in the garage as always. She parked and turned off the car and got out to check the mail from the mailbox across the street. The music stopped when she turned off the car ignition after putting the transmission in park position and opened the door to get out. She walked to the mailbox and heard a loud bang. She turned around and found the car in the swale between our and our neighbor’s property against our neighbor’s tree. The car drove in reverse by itself without anyone inside it. Our car does not have remote start. She ran to the car and got inside it and turned it on to get it out of the swale. She drove it back into the garage and parked again. She turned it off and waited in the car for few minutes to check. She got out of the car keeping the garage door open and waited for few more minutes before closing the garage door.
