The cluster display shows "shift to park" even while vehicle is stopped, gear shift in park position, and engine is off.

I recently bought this 2024 Buick Encore GX about a week ago and we decided to take a short trip to [XXX], as we were coming back and was driving downhill, we notice the vehicle was pulling to the left side like a strong wind pulling it. The steering wheel became very stiff and unable to pull back towards the driving lane as my daughter was trying to maneuver back, so she finally slowed down all the way to a full stop as the car approached all the way to the left by pulling hard by itself as my daughter was putting her brakes on. We waited for a few minutes as we turned off the vehicle, then after a few minutes she started back and check the steering by turning both ways to the right and left side, it felt okay then we proceeded back unto the road and came back to [XXX], but it became evening and the panel light came on, within a few hours later the panel light also became blank everything was just dark on the panel, we couldn't see the speeding monitor, the radio panel and the gear light, this happen within 3 minutes then it finally came back on again. This was very terrible and scary. If this vehicle did this to me while I am alone driving it, I wouldn't know what to do, it might kill me. I needed a good vehicle for myself, so I purchased this here in [XXX] and I am a [XXX] woman. this is a terrible vehicle please do a recall and more investigation on this vehicle. I am afraid to own this vehicle now I don't know what to do with it. this kind of vehicle should never be sold at all to the public. The dash and instrument panel goes completly blank at highway speeds. A very dangerous scenario. It has happened 6 times in the 3 months that i jave purchased the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2022 Buick Encore. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the emissions warning light illuminated and hot air was coming from the A/C unit, despite the A/C cooling setting being activated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the purge pump and an unknown part needed to be replaced, and loose bolts in the A/C caused Freon to leak. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,586.

The contact owned a 2013 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH and attempting to make a right turn around a curve, the driver-side curtain airbag deployed unexpectedly and struck the contact's left temple, causing the contact to lose consciousness. While unconscious, the contact's foot remained depressed on the accelerator pedal, causing the vehicle to crash into a ditch, at which point the front passenger-side and rear driver-side and passenger-side airbags also deployed. Medical attention was required. The contact sustained an injury to the left temple, head pain, and pain extending from the left side of the neck into the shoulder blade. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to Burleson Towing Service and was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

Completed full diagnosis at Vann York BUICK Gmc [XXX] after failing NC Inspection on XXX. Provided service fee of 202.00 approx. And was provided a list of services that required immediate attention. The service mechanic advised there were no recalls. The vehicle has failed twice since I picked it up from the dealership XXX due to a fuel issue. Once on XXX and at 7:45pm today XXX. My concern is that the recalls was not brought to my attention. I conveyed to dealership today after the failure on XXX the fuel filter was replaced. I inquired about the diagnostic today as well prior to the vehicle failing not sure if the part for the recalls is causing this issue but it would be such a relief to know the dealership should have caught the recall. There is a problem with the fuel gauge as its display is extremely erratic. As a driver this is not considered safe because it is unknown how much fuel is actually available in the vehicle.

The contact rented a 2026 Buick Encore GX. The contact stated that while making left or right turns on several occasions, the vehicle accelerated and jerked. The contact stated that on one occasion while making a left turn, the vehicle jerked and accelerated, and the vehicle crashed into a column in a parking garage. No injury was sustained. A Police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to the rental car location. The contact was unaware of whether the vehicle was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 17,153.

While driving my 2025 Buick Encore GX Avenir, I experienced a sudden, catastrophic electronic and mechanical failure. Without warning, the brake pedal became extremely stiff, requiring massive physical effort to slow the vehicle down. Simultaneously, the dashboard displayed warning lights indicating that both the StabiliTrak system and the Power Steering system were disabled, causing a sudden loss of steering assist.The vehicle was towed via Buick Roadside Assistance to Ewing Buick in [XXX]. This simultaneous failure of braking, steering, and stability control represents an extreme safety hazard. The vehicle is currently at Ewing Buick, who is the dealership that sold me the vehicle in October 2024. The failure was accompanied by the warning lights on the dashboard at the same time of brake failure. I am a liver transplant and I bought this car so that I would have a safe vehicle I am now concerned because of possible blunt trauma to my abdomen if I have an accident. I was in a front end collision where the damages were over $20,000.00 and the air bags did not deploy.
