  • 2014 BUICK ENCLAVE
    - Missouri City, TX

I own a 2014 Buick Enclave experienced two major safety-related failures. First, while driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost throttle response and triggered a check-engine light with code P1682 (Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2). After replacing the ignition relay in the under-hood fuse box, the issue seemed resolved temporarily. A few weeks later, while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle displayed “Traction Control Off,” followed by “Engine Power Reduced,” and began shaking violently. The engine warning light turned on, and the car became undrivable in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. A mechanic later confirmed no failure in the replaced ignition relay. The root cause may be a design flaw in the fuse box and its bottom wire-harness connection, which is known to loosen because the two internal securing screws do not get tighten at all, its freely moving and not securing anything. This potential defect has reportedly affected multiple GM vehicles from 2013–2015, posing serious safety risks and potentially leading owners to spend significant money on repairs without resolving the underlying issue. In Buick Forum, thousands of customers experiencing the same issue, spending thousands and suffering financial implications and severe safety threat just for a careless design and carelessness in addressing a small design issue!!!

No first gear. Engine stalls if car is brought to a halt. On take off, car will stall if given too much throttle. If able to roll from dead stop, it will jerk and hesitate as if in too high of gear or dragging clutch.

  • 2017 BUICK CASCADA
    - Long Beach, NY

The rear window of this car has separated and when I contacted the manufacturer they indicated a service bulletin was issued but they are not liable for the repair. The window has become more and more separated and I'm using glue to hold it on but it's becoming undrivable due to the risk of it separating while on the road. While this has not yet caused an accident, I believe this is one waiting to happen as many other owners of this vehicle are reporting the same issue. If this would fully separate while on a highway the consequences could be dangerous. This is a chronic manufacturing defect. Buick has indicated the repair would cost between $3,000 and $5,000, which is not possible.

  • 2017 BUICK ENCLAVE
    - Marion, OH

Shortly after purchasing my 2017 enclave premium around 60000 I noticed a problem that felt like vehicle's tires were skipping when making sharp turns. Upon my own extensive research (as I didn’t have time money and couldn’t go won’t vehicle) discovered a clutch pack needed replaced. This is after replacing the battery and brakes nit even a month after buying. Later after taking it for an oil change I received a report stating the rear differential was cracked and power steering rack needed replaced. While driving in rush hour traffic one day all power steering was lost with no explanation. Still having problems with tire pressure monitor replacing multiple tire stems and tires. Won’t start after filling with gas or is stuck in crank position trying to start when it finally dies it wants to stall out. Currently headlights are flickering with no known cause. Oh and the driver heated seat stopped working right after purchase. I’m at a huge loss with repairs costing more than the worth of a vehicle that continues to have serious issues even after fixing the problem it seems to repeat itself. Owe too much to trade in. All these problems are known to occur I cannot believe this isn’t a lemon or recalled parts. If not in enclave same thing happens in similar vehicles made by sane manufacturers during the same years. I will never purchase another GMC nor purchase from Toyota who failed to help after purchase.

  • 2025 BUICK ENVISION
    - Stone Ridge, NY

The contact owns a 2025 Buick Envision. The contact stated that upon picking up the vehicle from the dealer a day after purchasing the vehicle, while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start, with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The dealer replaced the battery; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the failure was a parasitic battery drain. The contact was informed that the dealer was unable to verify what was the cause of the parasitic battery drain. The contact was informed that the engineer might need to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle had been taken back to the dealer several times because of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 2,700.

When starting from a traffic light after the green light, the car made mechanical noises and would not accelerate above approximately 25 mph. It seemed obvious at the time that the transmission had failed, which was later confirmed after being towed to the dealership. There were no warning lamps or messages displayed; however, during the previous days, there were a few instances when the transmission "shifted" hard (this seemed odd considering it is a CVT transmission).
