2025 BUICK ENVISTA- Garfield Heights, OH
The contact owns a 2025 Buick Envista. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH in snowy weather and attempting to clear the windshield, the windshield washer fluid failed to spray properly. The front crash assist indicator to verify that the system has activated failed to illuminate intermittently. The blind spot indicator failed to illuminate on the side mirrors while other vehicles were approaching within the expected distance. The blind spot indicator light only illuminated once the approaching vehicle was already beside the vehicle. The contact stated that the back over prevention camera failed to display the rear of the vehicle due to condensation. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer who flushed out the washer fluid for the windshield wiper due to ice forming in the fluid. The dealer was unable to determine the cause for the failure of the front crash assist indicator. The dealer implied that the system would only activate if the driver was operating the vehicle with one hand. The blind spot indicator had not been diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and filed a case. The failure mileage was 3,000.

2024 BUICK ENVISTA- Howell, MI
The entire digital display will go black for several seconds to a few minutes while driving. This seems to occur 3-4 times in a row and then will not happen again for days to weeksto months apart. It has happened on 5 separate occasions spanning 6 months. The dealership claims they “cannot reproduce the issue” and that they do not know what is wrong. This has been reported numerous times online for this make/model/year. This is a MAJOR safety hazard.

2018 BUICK ENCORE- Detroit, MI
I have been alerted by General Motors, via a letter that I received in March, 2024, that, due to a defect, my car's (a 2018 model year Buick Encore) engine may have a "condition where the turbocharger could fail" and that "the engine may run rough or have reduced power." In the letter, they have offered "additional protection for the condition" if the "condition occurs...within 10 years of the date your car was originally placed in service or 120,000 miles...whichever occurs first." On [XXX], my car was at 126,819 miles, and had all of the symptoms of the issue that were described in the March 2024 letter ("the Malfunction Indicator Light (Check Engine Light) will illuminate and a diagnostic trouble code will set. Additionally, the engine may run rough or have reduced power.") On May 3, 2024, I contacted GM at the phone number provided in the March 2024 letter ((800) 521-7300.) I was told by the GM representative that, because I was "over the mileage", that any GM dealer would have to charge me a $130.00 Diagnostic Fee to diagnose the issue, and, that even after diagnosing, there was no guarantee that GM would fix the issue, because I was "over the mileage". The GM representative also said I could ask the dealer to waive the Diagnostic Fee, at the dealer's discretion. If, after paying the Diagnostic Fee, and if the Diagnostic Fee revealed that my car did have the "turbocharger fail condition", that I could THEN contact GM to see IF they would cover the repair cost. In May, 2024, my car was at about 128,000 miles. I contacted two GM dealers: Les Stanford Buick in Ferndale, MI, and James Martin Chevy in Detroit, MI. Both refused to waive the Diagnostic Fee. So, in other words: - GM has created a defective, potentially DANGEROUS product, that GM acknowledges is defective. - GM created a warranty extension in which GM arbitrarily extended the warranty mileage and time. 2014 BUICK ENCLAVE- Somers, CT
At 85,000mi my transmission failed while driving on the highway. The dealership kept the transmission so it can not be inspected. This was extremely dangerous with my whole family in the car too. No lights illuminated on the dash board just rpm flew up with the vehicle not moving. There were no indications that anything was going to fail. No stored or active codes were detected in the vehicle. The issue I was told was the problem was #16-NA-013 No Reverse, No Third. This issue is supposed to only be on 2016 vehicles and mine was the first. The dealership stapled this #16-NA-013 document to my invoice. The only fix was an entirely new transmission for $7500.

2014 BUICK VERANO- Waynesboro, PA
Newly purchased delivery of 2014 Buick Verano. from Auto Deal Makers in Chantilly, Va. Not even 5 miles driven, car was hesitant at 20mph, felt like it was going to stall out at 40mph, my left upper lip started tingling, my kids felt sick as we all experienced a heavy taste & smell of burnt oil in the cabin of the car. Two hours later my kids & I still could not get the taste of burnt oil off our tongues and back of our throats even after eating. Contacted GM & Chevy although they are fully aware of the defect they refuse to accept responsibility. The tingling has now reached my chin as though my children and I have been affected by some form of toxic chemical poisoning. This was the first time I ever drove my newly purchased vehicle, and have been poisoned myself & my kids by the toxic fumes the car is emitting. Total recalls should be done, and full compensation to consumers. GM & Chevy are fully aware of the defects and should be held responsible and accountable for the dangerously hazardous fumes that they are knowingly allowing unsuspecting consumers to become victims of their neglect and found guilty of all laws created to protect consumers, and the environment for these defective vehicles and found guilty pursuant to any and all Lemon Laws pertaining to aforementioned toxic chemical exposure. All of these makes/models that have similar issues should be recalled immediately for the safety and health of the consumers, and the environment.

2024 BUICK ENCORE GX- Spring, TX
On 10/21/2024 the main gauge cluster began flickering and lasted that way for several days while GM had part on back order. Then on 11/9/2024 the gauge cluster went completely out while driving at night with no indication of speed or status. The incident was very disorienting but did not cause an incident. GM has been waiting on the part since 10/28/2024 with the latest delivery expected in Feb 2025. Each month the part's expected arrival slips several weeks, and our confidence is low that the part will be available in Feb.
