2024 CADILLAC XT6 Complaints

The vehicle has had breaking issues since I purchased it in September 23, 2023. On April 26, 2025 the car completely shut down while driving it for no apparent reason. Took it to the certified Cadillac dealer (see picture). Said, it was fixed. May 11, 2026 started doing it again while driving, turning, backing up or at a light. Breaks keep saying need to be serviced too. Had it towed in to Cadillac dealer they can’t get it to repeat problem or get codes to find out problem. I got Cadillac involved to help. Case number 98248412. Had to pick car up today spoke again with service manager at Cadillac dealer. He said, car has major issues and it’s rearing its ugly head (car is defective). He can’t get the codes because whatever is going on with car it’s not talking to the computer. I’ve been on a major highway and the car just shuts down. I’ve asked Cadillac to repurchase the car because I am afraid of being in a major accident and killed because I never know when the car will shut down. Cadillac told, me to keep driving the car until it showed up again and they would not repurchase it. If I get rear ended on a 4 line highway by a semi truck because the car just shut down myself and family could be killed.

After driving for couple of hours Car Jump like a horse while driving and slow moving since purchased.

am experiencing multiple issues with my 2024 Cadillac XT6 that affect drivability and potentially safety: 1.Intermittent Transmission Shift Jerk •The vehicle occasionally exhibits a sudden “jerk” or abrupt shift while accelerating, mostly in 2nd–3rd or 3rd–4th gear. •The issue is intermittent and cannot be consistently reproduced during dealer visits. •The dealer has performed two transmission fluid flushes within one month, but the problem continues. •No diagnostic trouble codes are stored, making it difficult for the dealer to duplicate, but the jerks are noticeable and concerning while driving. 2.Startup and Engine/Transmission Noise •Upon starting the vehicle, I hear unusual noises described as [whining •Noise is also sometimes heard during idle or even briefly after the vehicle is turned off. •These noises occur intermittently, sometimes during cold start or light driving, and may indicate an underlying transmission, engine, or accessory issue.

Transmission suddered. Took to the dealer and they said that there are parts in the transmission that need to be replaced. They recommended not driving the vehicle because there could be complete faliure of the transmission causing the car not to move. They said that parts are on backorder and did not give a timeline of when the parts would be available. They said they did not have a vehicle to drive while we wait.

WHEN TRYING TO BACK IN GARAGE, TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE AT ALL AND CAN ONLY MOVE FORWARD, AT TIMES, THE NAVIGATION DISPLAY SCREEN WILL TURN OFF OR FREEZE BEFORE OPERATING NORMALLY, AND THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN SQUEEKING EVER SINCE IT WAS DRIVEN OFF THE CAR LOT WHEN PURCHASED NEW; GM SAYS THAT'S NORMAL.

brakes locking up when backing out of parking spot numerus times, took 20 minutes to back out my 10-foot driveway backup camera saw something that wasnt there brakes keep locking up HARD every foot or so seat kept vibrating front camera was very erratic before this warning of thing that were not there Venice cadillac's service dept answer turn this off in options WOW asked for a fix "there are none just turn it off" my question why is my $75,000 car without a very much needed option that also was a selling point no answer just turn it off

While driving the dashboard screen goes blank including the radio. If using adaptive cruise control it also shuts off. After five or six minutes the cadillac symbol will appear on the radio screen and the dashboard screen will begin to sign back on. You must reset the cruise control. Everything on the dash is black including the speedometer and gages. This has occurred numerous times and the dealer informed me that there is no recall and no solution to the problem. My son has a 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe with the same problem. The first time it happened was on an isolated road at 10:30 PM. I pulled over, not understanding what was occurring. I consider this dangerous not know what’s going on how long if will last

After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V459000 (Electrical System); the VIN was included, but the remedy was ineffective. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 1,200.

The contact stated that the steering wheel had seized, and the instrument panel failed to function as needed. In addition, the contact had received a service alert via the Cadillac App that the ABS had failed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where a system update was performed. The vehicle was repaired temporarily, and the check engine warning light illuminated again. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer where a system update was performed at Cadillac of Naperville (1507 W Ogden Ave, Naperville, IL 60540). The contact stated that the parts to complete the recall associated with the vehicle were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
