2020 CADILLAC CT5- Middleburg, FL
Regarding NHTSA Campaign ID 25V148, GM recall N242480630. The recall was for a potential transmission control valve issue where some vehicles may be susceptible to excess wear over time, resulting in gradual loss of pressure within the valve that can cause harsh shifting. With the recall we finally knew what was wrong with the vehicle. We have a defective transmission control valve. The transmission was replaced in 2022 and now needs to be replaced again. At the appointment for the recall we expressed that the transmission control valve has already caused damage and it needs to be replaced. We also requested that the damage the defective valve caused, the failing transmission, also needs to be replaced under this recall. We were told to contact Cadillac customer support at 800-333-4223 and filed a case on 5/27/25, case [XXX]. I have yet to receive a call back. I call everyday and leave a message and nobody calls back. The vehicle can not be driven and they will not provide a loaner car. Please hold Cadillac accountable for using defective parts in vehicles and then not providing a remedy to the damage they have caused in a timely manner if at all. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Driving down the highway yesterday, I believe that the sunroof on my Cadillac XT4 exploded. It was a hot day and I heard a loud bang. My sunroof shattered and no rocks or other external debris to be found.

2023 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Tallahassee, FL
I was told of this recall. That my motor may just completely shut off at anytime and that I will hopefully be able to maneuver off of the road at that time. But Cadillac states they do not have a way to fix it at this time. IF something does happen, they will try. But only cars acting up are being looked at right now. Everyone else can just drive around and hope for the best. I’m scared to drive my car out of fear of it shutting down and causing me to get in an accident. I don’t want my family hurt, but I surely don’t want to hurt anyone else either. It’s unacceptable that there is no fix for such a serious issue and there isn’t even an estimate on when they will have a remedy, much less how long it will then take the dealership to do the repairs.

2025 CADILLAC OPTIQ- San Antonio, TX
I one pedal drive and concurrently regenerative breaking is on since November of 2018. Having reversed out of the garage and then closing the garage door and before I reversed on to the street the OptiQ roughly lurched forward while stationary. While slowly entering the home garage to park, the OptiQ performed a forward lurching over a wooden barrier touching the wall (5/31/25). The front grill has indentations. Cavender Cadillac advisor has not returned my call.
