2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Grambling, LA
The contact owned a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH, there was an area where the pavement was incomplete and caused the vehicle to go off-road and into the woods, and the vehicle crashed into the trees, where it came to a stop. The ABS and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was deemed a total loss. The steering wheel and driver’s seat air bag had not deployed. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The contact was taken to a hospital and was treated for a fractured fibula and sternum and was receiving physical rehabilitation for the injuries. A police report was filed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

2026 CADILLAC OPTIQ- Berkeley, CA
Multiple times over the last four months of leasing this 2026 Cadillac Optiq, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system has malfunctioned and abruptly slammed on the brakes without warning, bringing the car to a sudden stop in the middle of our travel lane. All incidents occurred under similar optimal conditions: clear daylight, sunny skies, a clean windshield, and zero hazards or pedestrians in the road. Neither cruise control nor Super Cruise was engaged during any incident. The vehicle is updated with the latest software version. During a recent event, we were traveling at approximately 25 mph in a residential zone when the vehicle violently engaged the brakes. No warning lamps, dashboard alerts, or audible chimes appeared prior to the activation. This unprovoked, severe braking creates an immediate hazard for occupants and a severe risk of being rear-ended by trailing traffic. To mitigate this ongoing hazard, we manually disable the AEB feature in the vehicle software. However, the system automatically defaults AEB features back to "On" every drive cycle, forcing us to re-disable it every single time we start the vehicle. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by police, insurance, or the manufacturer, and we are awaiting an upcoming service appointment with our local Cadillac dealer. The vehicle and its software remain available for inspection upon request.

2023 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Dalton, MA
Vehicle started making a horrendous noise, knock and squeeling noise while on the highway. Approximately 2 minutes later the check engine light came on and we completely lost power. Went from 70 to zero dead on the side of the NY Thruway rapidly. Vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was confirmed that an engine replacement was necessary. Engine previously passed PICO test and update to the oil cap was completed. Oil changes every 5k miles.

2024 CADILLAC LYRIQ- Aurora, CO
The infotainment screen in my car plus the menu control went completely dead. With the screen dead completely this mean you cannot see the speedomoter, rear camera feeds, warning symbols on the dash. You cannot see current speed, you cannot hear any sound so all alerting systems are down. You are completely blind in a vehicle built around this screen. Dealership has already confirmed faulty computer module. However was told it would have been originally resolved under N252500680. It has only been inspected by the manufacture. No warnings, no nothing, just dead screen out of nowhere that requires new part to bring online. Meaning dead dead; part is currently on back order and design changes were made after this exact model year showing knowledge of the fault.

2024 CADILLAC LYRIQ- Maurertown, VA
This is about an issue with the ACC system. While driving with the ACC engaged, it will intermittently disengage and without notification. Then the vehicle applies hard braking. After many multiple occurrences, I now tap the brake pedal and apply acceleration. I can't tell you how concerning this can be while driving at interstate speed. Just the thought of a large truck behind me will put the fear into you. Additionally, I have been able to hear an electrical clicking noise emitting from the left side of the steering wheel. When this occurs the ACC is unavailable and/or unable to be selected. A barrage of notifications will appear saying the Adaptive Cruise Control Selected or Cruise Control Selected. Our Lyriq has been in the shop for this problem at least 3 times. Everytime the outcome is CND or WAD

2024 CADILLAC ESCALADE- New Era , MI
November 19, 2025 I brought my Cadillac Escalade to the dealership under their voluntary recall on the engine. My vehicle passed the pico compression test. The dealership then changed my current oil to a heavier oil and changed the oil cap to match the oil they put in. July 2nd 2026 my husband was driving about 55 mph and I was a passenger the we heard loud knocking and the engine quit. We had vehicles behind us my husband was shocked I instantly hit my emergency 4 way light button so we didn’t get rear ended. We coasted to the shoulder of the road thankful that we didn’t get hit by the vehicles behind us.

2019 CADILLAC CT6- Stuart , FL
On July 22, 2025, at 20,245 miles, I brought my 2019 Cadillac CT6-V to an authorized dealer while still under factory warranty, reporting hard shifting during both acceleration and deceleration — the exact symptom described in GM Special Coverage Bulletin N242480631, which addresses a defective transmission control valve subject to premature wear (P0747 diagnostic condition). The dealer was unable to diagnose or repair the issue at that visit and returned the vehicle to me without resolving the defect. The same condition recurred. I brought the vehicle back to the dealer (Crestview Cadillac, Rochester Hills, MI) on May 26, 2026. The vehicle remained at the dealership for over three weeks before any loaner vehicle was offered. Replacement parts were reported as received on July 3, 2026, and again on July 17, 2026, and as of this filing the vehicle has still not been returned to me — over two months out of service. The repair estimate is approximately $12,000, covering the transmission control valve, a power transfer case, and a high-pressure oil pump. GM Special Coverage Bulletin N242480631 states that the control valve body replacement is covered at no charge for vehicles that return with a P0747 condition after the TCM software update, for 15 years or 150,000 miles from the in-service date, regardless of ownership. My vehicle meets these conditions. Despite this, GM's case team has offered only a $4,500 "goodwill" credit plus reward points toward the total repair, characterizing this as a discretionary gesture outside of warranty, and has stated this is their final position. I am filing this complaint because: (1) the original recall/coverage remedy did not resolve the underlying defect when I first brought the vehicle in under warranty, resulting in continued use of a vehicle with an unrepaired safety-related transmission defect until the condition worsened; (2) GM's dealer network has taken an extended and, in my view, excessive amount of time to complete.

2020 CADILLAC CT5- Quincy, MA
Electronic door hand on the drivers side completely stopped working, with little warning. This includes the proximity unlock feature and unlocking the car with the fob. If this were to have happened to all four doors at once, it would have been impossible to enter the car without breaking the glass. This is not safe.

2022 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Royal Palm Beach, FL
My 2022 Cadillac Escalade received the remedy for Recall 25V-274 (L87 6.2L V8 loss of propulsion) on July 22nd at the dealer. The vehicle passed inspection and was given the higher-viscosity 0W-40 oil change remedy rather than an engine replacement. Since that service, the engine has begun stalling. It stalls when the vehicle is stopped. This symptom was not present before the recall service was performed. I consider this a loss-of-propulsion safety concern consistent with the defect the recall was meant to address, and I am concerned the oil-change remedy did not correct the underlying condition. The vehicle currently has approximately 144,969 miles. I am taking it to the dealer for diagnosis and am requesting a check for diagnostic trouble code P0016 and an oil filter inspection for metal debris.
