The vehicle starter began malfunctioning, upon having that repaired by the dealership the brakes on the truck failed while underway. The dealership subsequently replaced the fuse panel and said it was resolved, that was in November 2022. The starter again began having problems engaging yesterday.

I bought the truck in April of 2023, a few days after I purchased it I was backing up and the review camera turned off and received an error. I went to the dealer and was told it was caused my my tow hitch. Which makes no sense since they have an option to towing. I've looked on forums online where several other owners have the same issue with the same year truck.

The truck randomly got a check engine light. I had to drive over 150 miles home and the whole time the dash said DEF empty and a countdown to reduced power. DEF was filled prior to trip. Took to dealer and was told the DEF tank needed to be replaced due to bad sensor or module. No parts available for repair so I am without a truck until GM decides to produce parts. The consumer stated that the vehicle is still at the dealer and the DEF module has been replaced 3 times. No remedy has been provided from the manufacturer so far.

The inside silver trim pieces blind the driver and passenger when the sun reflects off them. The trim piece on the driver side reflects into the side view mirror, blinds the driver and does not allow you to see blind spots.

There is a small front body part known as the "moustaches" next to the headlights on either side of the vehicle. We have had this vehicle for less than 2 years and both the driver's side and passenger side "moustaches" have come loose on this truck and flown off while driving at highway speeds. Prior to flying off they get caught up on the tires and could cause a catastrophic blow-out of the steering tires. There is also the hazard of the body part flying off into traffic and causing damage or injuries to other drivers or pedestrians. This appears to be an engineering error and they have corrected it on later models by replacing the two small pieces with one wraparound piece. I believe this is an unsafe condition specific to this model year and should be considered for a possible safety recall.

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado. Upon inspection of vehicle, the contact discovered an abnormal design of the vehicle's exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe had been smashed in and the pipe appeared to be closed shut. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed him that it may have been designed that way to ensure safe ground clearance while driving the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, they had become nauseous and had temporarily lost consciousness. The contact pulled off the highway and went for a walk to regain composure; the contact did not seek medical attention. The contact believed that the design of the exhaust pipe had caused those symptoms to occur. The contact spoke with the dealer and scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be diagnosed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

When vehicle becomes disabled due to an an electrical or mechanical issue there is no way to put the transmission into neutral. Due to the vehicle having an electric shift mechanism, when there is an electrical issue with the vehicle it can’t be shifted into neutral to push or tow the vehicle. For some unknown reason, GM did not provide an emergency transmission shift override system. My previous vehicle, a 2014 Ram had an emergency shift override mechanism for emergency situations. With GM’s lack of an override system if the vehicle develops an issue while driving once it comes to a stop it shifts its self into park leaving no way to move the vehicle safely off the roadway without a tow truck using skates/dollies on the rear wheels. I personally experienced this yesterday while driving in San Antonio, Texas traffic. My vehicle died while going 70 mph. Thankfully I was able to coast off to the shoulder. When the vehicle came to a stop it would no longer shift into neutral. I have read others having similar experiences only not being fortunate enough to get off the roadway. GM needs to provide a way to override the electronic shift mechanism so there vehicles can be moved when issues arise. It’s only a matter of time before an electrical issue renders a vehicle unmovable in traffic causing injury or death to the traveling public.

Back up camera cuts out at night in low light conditions, making it dangerous. Been to dealer twice, first they reflash BCM then second time, they state “we can’t find anything wrong”. I have seen people complaining online about this issue.
