2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE Complaints

When I am going slow backing up, it feels like I have no breaks. Also, if I am pulling into a parking place real slow, it feels like I have no breaks and the truck continues to roll.

Went to start my vehicle 10min prior to me taking off. Five min into my drive I felt my Tahoe start to lose power stop shifting. Once i was able to pull over to a safe location put the car into park and put the car back into drive and the car will not move.

I was constantly smelling a strong odor of gas coming from the inside/outside of my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. When I purchased the vehicle in 10/23 everything appeared fine. I researched the internet to determine what the problem could be & found dozens of similar situations. People saying the fuel line rubs the undercarriage of the vehicle causing a pin hole size in the fuel line causing it to leak gas. Currently my vehicle is in the shop and the problem is TBD.

On Wednesday, 11/15/23, I was sitting in my vehicle while it was parked and running for several minutes. After a few minutes, the alert chime went off and the message "Service Trailer Brake System" was displayed on the dash notifications. This alert persisted for several minutes. Since this initial incident, the same alert has displayed 3 or 4 more times, but while driving. It repeats persistently, causing a major distraction, blocking my speedometer, and disabling bluetooth features. I nearly wrecked because of the distraction and have not been able to tow my trailer because of the risk of of the trailer brakes not working. I have an appointment scheduled with my mechanic on 11/28/23 to get this repaired, but have recently learned of several incidents of this same alert from other GM vehicle owners. This seems to be a defective wire harness and needs to be recalled as it is unsafe and renders the vehicle useless for many intended purposes.

While driving the breaks failed to work. Then when I started pumping the brakes again it took longer than normal to respond and I had to press really hard. I was only going a few miles per hour in a parking lot. Now 5 days later it's happening all the time. It's also making a click noise when I press the pedal.

The high pressure fuel line from the fuel pump to engine sustained a pinhole leak over the fuel tank. Fuel leaked over top of tank and ran down front drivers side front of tank. Discovered the leak after noticing strong fuel odor inside vehicle. Took to shop. The fuel line is installed as so it will rub undercarriage of vehicle. This is what happened to mine. This is a factory install and the lines are doomed to fail because of this. The excessive contact rubs holes into the lines. This seems to be a common problem with the 2015, according to my research. There are hundreds of these same complaints with this year listed all over repair sites on the internet. I believe this needs looked into, as flammable fuel leaking suddenly can be a hazard.

The contact stated there was a stain on her driveway that was gasoline. Most recently, the contact saw that fuel was dripping from the fuel tank. Also, the contact stated that the vehicle had become more difficult to start in the morning, sometimes taking over four attempts. No warning light was illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure to the manufacturer Technical Service Bulletin Number: 17-NA-304 Possible Fuel Leak (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

So I got a 2015 Chevy Tahoe that had recalls done but the problems are still there. The power steering works like every 10th time starting the suv.

Gas leaking out of my vehicle. First noticed it right after pumping gas then started smelling a strong odor of gasoline!

The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 182,000.
