  • 2021 CHEVROLET TAHOE
    - SAVAGE, MN

My wife was stopped at a stop light traveling west from and appointment. When the light turned green she moved her foot from the brake to gas when all of the warning lights. It happened at the worst time possible during rush hour and we were fortunate that she was not hit by traffic. After the police arrived to help re direct traffic and wait for a tow truck, we found coolant spilling underneath the engine towards the rear of it. Towed to local repair shop, they inspected and found the engine had a catastrophic failure. Likely related to the current recall for the 6.2l V8 engine installed in this Tahoe.

  • 2018 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500
    - Lagrange, OH

The truck kept going into limp mode and when taken to the dealership it was found to have metal in the fuel. According to the report from the dealership they stated that this indicated the injection pump had come apart internally and sent metal throughout the system. It has since been repaired at a high cost to myself. The generation of truck made before mine had a recall for the same thing and I feel that they have not fixed the problem or it wouldn't have happened to my truck. Seems like a manufacturing defect. When in limp mode the truck does not operate at the speed limit required for highway driving. There was no indication prior to the failure.

  • 2023 CHEVROLET COLORADO
    - Franklinton, NC

The blind spot indicator on my truck activates randomly without any vehicle present, and I reported this issue immediately after purchasing it. Despite bringing the truck to Boyd Chevrolet in Henderson, NC multiple times, I am repeatedly told they “can’t duplicate the problem” and therefore cannot repair it. Their only explanation has been that “maybe a future software update will fix it.” No components have ever been replaced to rule out a defective part, and I have no indication that Boyd Chevrolet has escalated the issue to Chevrolet, or anyone else, for further guidance. After nearly three years and 30,000 miles, the problem remains completely unaddressed while my warranty is nearing expiration. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious safety hazard. On several occasions, I have begun changing lanes only for the blind spot indicator to suddenly illuminate, causing me to jerk the wheel to avoid a car that isn’t there. The unexpected false alerts create a dangerous overreaction that puts me and others at risk. I want my truck properly diagnosed and repaired, but I have been unable to find a solution through the dealership. I have detailed service records documenting every visit and every time I reported this issue. At this point, I need meaningful action taken to resolve this ongoing safety concern.

  • 2023 CHEVROLET BOLT EV
    - Oakland, CA

Without any warning or physical impact, the central infotainment screen completely blanked out and suffered an irreversible hardware failure. This screen acts as the mandatory display terminal for the vehicle's rear-visibility backup camera, as well as the audio generation module for the vehicle's driver alerts. Because of this component failure, the vehicle is in direct non-compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS): 1.FMVSS 111 (Rear Visibility): The vehicle completely fails to display a rear-view image when shifted into reverse, creating an immediate blind-spot hazard for pedestrians. 2. FMVSS 101 (Controls and Displays): All critical audible safety alerts, pedestrian alerts, and driver warning chimes have been entirely silenced. The manufacturer (General Motors) and the authorized franchise dealership (F.H. Dailey Chevrolet) have acknowledged the failure and have the part on backorder, but refuse to fully cover the safety restoration under warranty or provide a temporary loaner vehicle. This forces the primary driver, a [XXX] senior citizen, to choose between total isolation or operating a hazardous, federally non-compliant vehicle. This appears to be a systemic manufacturing or design defect inherently tied to the internal HMI module architecture on the late-model Chevrolet Bolt EV platform, rather than individual wear and tear. A formal investigation is requested to mandate a safety recall and enforce full manufacturer accountability. • 2023 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500
    - Los Angeles, CA

While driving, the vehicle suddenly displayed “Service ESC” and “Service Traction Control” warnings. Shortly after, the engine stalled and the vehicle became difficult to restart. Vehicle experienced rough running/misfires and loss of power. Diagnostic trouble codes retrieved included P0300, P0106, P3498, P00FF, and U1962. The issue appears intermittent but creates a serious safety concern due to unexpected stalling while driving. Concerned about possible electrical, engine management, or stability control system failure affecting safe operation of the vehicle. No prior warning before incident.
