I was driving and all of a sudden engine and transmission failed many lights appeared on the dashboard brakes were not braking, the truck started to lose power and making weird noises.

Started my car and several dashboard lights and service messages cane across the screen; forward collision unavailable, service ESC, service brake assist. Traction control light was also lit up.

I purchased my car in 2020 and have had this issue recently come up. I have coolant that is vanishing from my car but not dripping to the floor. I've learned since then that there was a recall on my car for my water pump which causes this exact issue which has caused a related check engine light to appear. It seems unfair to me that there's a recall on my car that was taken away after one year despite it still not being replaced, and purchasing my car not knowing of this recall not being done and the window closing I feel should be rectified. I will be notifying GM about this matter as well. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter

My 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, VIN [XXX] , previously showed an active recall related to fuel system and stalling issues. The recall no longer appears under my VIN, but the same dangerous symptoms are happening. The vehicle jerks during acceleration, hesitates, loses power, and stalls while driving. These problems create a major safety concern because the vehicle can suddenly lose power in traffic. The symptoms match the original recall-related issues that were previously associated with this vehicle. I am requesting that the vehicle be inspected for recall-related failures, warranty coverage, special coverage adjustments, or goodwill assistance due to the safety risk involved. I would like documentation showing whether the recall repair was previously completed on this VIN and whether any warranty remains on the repaired or replaced parts. The temperature gauge does not work, it stays at cold. The heater does not work unless the car is moving. AC does not blow cold air at all. I get a message that says “steering assist is reduced. Drive with care”. There are a lot of people online with the same complaints on these vehicles

I have a severe safety concern regarding the auto shut off for this Chevy Silverado pick up. Several times I have almost gotten into an accident because while slowing briefly to stop before making a left, turn across traffic, the engine shuts off. When you press the gas, the engine starts back up, but the delay causes a safety concern with oncoming traffic. This feature should have a longer delay or be selectable to turn on. Not require someone to disable it. Every time is driven.

Let's eat come randomly unhook after clicking in.I have an indicator that keeps popping up to check my steering column and my transmission feels like it's slipping when you are trying to accelerate

Sudden loss of power steering, usually upon initial start. May return, may not return during drive. Began around 1 week ago. Sudden loss of power steering when turning either right or left has occurred causing a dangerous situation. Upon loss of power steering, 2 warnings appear. One for loss of power steering and the other for the trailer brake. Have never trailered anything with truck. Check engine light has come on at times, others it has not. Steering failure has occurred approximately 6 times. An internet search found some reference to my vehicle being informally added to the recall affecting other GM Vehicles. Vehicle has not been inspected yet.

How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Loss of propulstion, described below. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes, dealership where originally purchased. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Inspected at dealership by GM/Chevrolet technician. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? None prior to failure Detailed description: On 5/21/2026, during normal driving, the engine in my truck lost propulsion due to a major internal failure. This is a 2023 General Motors 6.2L (L87) engine that was inspected at the dealership where it was originally purchased for the previously issued NHTSA "loss of propulsion" recall and passed without any noted issues. This engine only has ~20,000 miles on it. The engine failed in relatively heavy traffic and could have easily resulted in a serious accident due to inability to route my vehicle to a safe area while under power. This all happened without any prior warning, no check engine lights, noises or lamps or symptoms. The dash simply illuminated with a "Press Start" message.The truck was towed to the dealer for evaluation. The dealer called me today (5/26/2026) stating the engine was seized and a new engine would have to be ordered from GM for installation. This event occurred while the vehicle (2023 Silverado ZR2) is still under the original 36 month/36,000 mile warranty.
