2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Detroit Lakes, MN
I Was traveling home one night and the truck shut off while driving and lost all power, loosing all steering, braking power aswell as all my lights while traveling down the road in the dark. . When I went to start it again all I would get was a cranking noise but no firing. After 30 minutes of waiting the truck started again. In which I drove it 3 more miles before it shut down again. After that it would not crank nor start. I then had the vehicle towed to my local Chevrolet dealer, and they had notified me that the engine had failed and locked up. In the process it had also taken out the FPCM (fuel pump control module) aswell as the high pressure fuel pump located on top of the motor. Causing me to have a new motor from GM installed. I had no previous problems or lights before this had happened.

2023 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- West Jordan , UT
Vehicle has experienced repeated electrical and safety system failures since purchase in 2023. Affected systems include forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, parking sensors, cameras, and infotainment. Failures include complete loss of camera functionality (rear and front), infotainment system shutdowns or resets while driving, loss of audio, and volume malfunctioning (including sudden increases or no response). The vehicle has also generated false safety alerts, including forward collision warnings and blind spot alerts when no hazard was present. These issues have occurred while the vehicle was in operation, creating safety risks due to loss of visibility systems and unreliable warning alerts. In multiple instances, the system would become completely non-functional for extended periods, sometimes lasting days or weeks, before temporarily returning. The problem has been reported to a dealership multiple times and has been inspected and serviced. Repairs have included software updates and component-related work; however, the issues have continued to persist or reoccur. The failures are intermittent but recurring and have not been permanently resolved despite multiple repair attempts. The condition reduces driver confidence and creates unsafe operating conditions due to unreliable safety systems and loss of critical features while driving.

2024 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Apopka, FL
I am reporting a safety defect involving a GM 6.2L L87 engine. My vehicle was included in the GM recall related to engine failure (loss of propulsion). The recall remedy was performed, and the engine was replaced under recall/warranty in August 2025. After the recall repair and engine replacement, the vehicle experienced a second catastrophic engine failure, on April 21st. The engine failed again while on a highway, resulting in loss of vehicle function and leaving me stranded. This occurred after the manufacturer had already attempted to remedy the defect. The vehicle has now been out of service for an extended period (approximately 2.5 months total across both events - and ongoing), and I am continuing to make payments on a vehicle that is not operable. This appears to be a failure of the recall remedy itself, not just the original defect. I am concerned this represents a broader safety issue involving post-recall failures of the L87 engine, as currently under investigation. I am requesting that this incident be included in the ongoing federal investigation into GM 6.2L engine failures.

2024 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Tracy city , TN
While driving, the truck suddenly Boggs down and gets sluggish. A message appeared once that said reduced acceleration drive with care. It is dangerous because it loses power and stalls in front of other vehicles. I took it to the dealership on Friday the 17th and they said it was the crank position sensor. They ordered the part and I took it back on Monday the 20th and they replaced the sensor. Today, while driving down the highway it did the same thing again. I will be taking it back to the dealership tomorrow. The truck has 26,000 miles on it.

2023 CHEVROLET TAHOE- Frisco, TX
As I was driving down the tollway in Dallas going 75 miles an hour, my engine completely shut down and went into neutral in rush hour traffic. I had to slowly get over from being in the left lane as my car was slowing and slowing. I was able to get over on the side of the tollway as cars zoomed past me. By the grace of God, I didn't get hit. Once it was towed, the service department confirmed that it is my engine that shut down and the entire engine needs to be replaced. Now the problem is they cannot find an engine or parts to fix it. No warning came on at all before this happened. Very dangerous situation.

2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Kannapolis, NC
The vehicle has experienced persistent engine performance issues that have not been resolved through standard repairs. Initial diagnostics indicated knock sensor faults, which were replaced at significant cost. However, the issue persisted and additional codes related to air fuel imbalance (P219B) appeared. The vehicle continues to exhibit reduced power, hesitation, and inconsistent acceleration while driving. This creates a safety concern, particularly when merging into traffic or attempting to accelerate in situations requiring reliable engine response. The dealership has quoted a minimum repair cost exceeding $7,000, with the possibility of increasing to $10,000 depending on further findings once the engine is opened. Due to the high cost and uncertainty of repair, the vehicle may remain in operation with an unresolved defect. Research indicates that similar issues have been reported by other owners of this vehicle generation, suggesting a potential broader defect that may impact vehicle safety. This issue affects the vehicle’s ability to deliver consistent power and safe acceleration. Given the relatively low mileage and the severity of the repair required, this may represent a defect that warrants further investigation. I was driving through the tollbooth on the bayway in [XXX] , I stepped on the brake to slow down and all kinds of warning lights lit up in the car showing the brakes were not working. Anything automatic with the brakes failed. I had to stand on the brakes to get the Traverse to stop. The issue was confrmed to be the master brake cylinder I was lucky they had it in stock at Maher Chevrolet in St Petersburg. My grandson was supposed to be in this car the next day driving over the skyway bridge. The safety of children is being compromised. Please issue a recall!!!!!
