I had a tire installed by a repair shop approximately one month ago. I recently discovered that the tire installed on my vehicle is the incorrect size. My vehicle requires size 225/55R17, but the shop installed size 245/45R17. This creates a safety concern due to improper fitment, which can affect handling, stability, and overall vehicle performance. I only discovered the issue after experiencing a separate flat tire and inspecting all tires on the vehicle. I contacted the business to have the issue corrected, but they refused to assist me. During multiple phone calls, both the manager and assistant manager were dismissive, unprofessional, and terminated the calls without providing any resolution. The incorrect tire remains on the vehicle, and the business has failed to correct their error.

I had the car in for a message (service transmission now will not be able to shift soon). They told me there was nothing wrong with my transmission it was a parking brake sensor issue. They ordered me a new sensor and never called to tell me it was in. I followed up and they said they had the part and I could come in whenever. They said it was not a safety issue and would be a quick fix. I had an appt today and to my surprise when I went to drive to the appt my car will not let me shift out of park with a new message (service transmission, unable to shift). I am now waiting for the car to be towed. This car has had nothing but issues including the back-up camera not working properly for 2 years. These are all serious safety concerns that Chevy/GM has not properly handled.

The last 10 mph it locked wheels to a screeching halt. Towed to Foundation Chevrolet. Confirmed engine failed, needs replacement. Every service done on regular basis by same dealer. Had "recall" band aid performed a couple months ago, where they changed oil vicosity and did inspection.

  • 2026 CHEVROLET TAHOE
    - San Mateo, CA

The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that after making a long-distance trip, the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the side mirrors were moving independently, and the vehicle failed to start after several attempts. The vehicle eventually restarted the following day, and the contact stated that the check engine warning light turned on the drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a code reader was used to diagnose the vehicle. The contact was informed that since the check engine warning light was off, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle remained with the dealer overnight and a multi-point inspection was performed, but the dealer found no cause for the failure. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly stopped in the middle of the highway. The vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal, with the check engine warning light illuminated, and the messages "Change Engine Oil Soon" and "Engine Overheating Turn Off Vehicle" displayed. The contact was unable to move the vehicle and was forced to turn on his hazard warning lights due to the failure. The contact called 911 and Highway Patrol assisted with moving the vehicle off to the shoulder. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to another Chevrolet dealer before being towed back to the original dealer. The vehicle remained with the dealer. The contact was informed two days later that the vehicle had been repaired; however, the contact no longer believed that the vehicle was safe. The contact no longer wanted the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was later informed that the vehicle did not qualify for a buyback. The failure mileage was 897.

Vehicle power steering went out while driving as I almost crashed through the corner. My anti-skid light came on on the dash along with a message saying service power steering drive with care and a message saying service ESC. Upon further investigation, it appears the ground strap connecting the frame to the passenger side wheel well is corroded camming electrical problems with the power steering, etc. Apparently my Vin number does not qualify for replacement on my 2019 truck even though it’s still in their warranty Chevy should replace these straps for free. The dealer wants to charge $300 for a diagnostic fee in around $300 for another repair. However mine is under warranty, but I feel like I should not have to pay a diagnostic fee. It should be covered as a recall. I have attached pictures of the codes from the dealership computer.

while driving down the freeway at 80 mph, in my 2025 Chevy truck with 6000 mikes , the truck suddenly locked up, almost throwing myself and my daughter into the dash, thank goodness the semi truck behind us was paying attention of we would be dead! I was able to steer it to the shoulder of the road where I unhooked the battery hoping to reset the system to no avail. Waited on the side of the road till the tow truck got there. towed the truck to my local Chevy dealer where they confirmed the engine was blown, I want Chevy to do a buyback on the truck as I have zero confidence in the truck, do not feel safe in it anymore, my daughter swore to never set foot in it again after such a dramatic event. i now have to wait a month for the dealer to install a new motor, at which time they will not give me a loaner truck, very disappointing. 1-Total engine failure. 2-Mine, my daughter, the semi truck driver, and many other surrounding drivers safety and lives were put at risk. 3- Yes the dealer has confirmed it was a totally engine loss. 4-no one else has inspected the vehicle 5- No light, sensors or warnings just a loud bang then our lives flashing before our eyes.
