I was driving down a busy road with my toddler in the car when the car just stopped. Went from traveling 40 mph to a complete standstill. Dead, in the middle of the road. No warning lights or signals at all. Could not get the car in neutral. Wheels locked up and not able to shift to neutral without the car being on, which was not happening. Had to get the car towed to the dealer. The tow truck driver had to drag the car on to the truck. No getting the car in neutral at all. Dealer diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump control module, which after researching is a major problem for this make/model/year. Should most definitely be a recall that has to be remedied by the manufacturer as this is not safe at all. Could have easily been hit due to traveling at a normal speed to stopping so suddenly. Then on top of it, not being able to get in to neutral to get to a safe location out of traffic.

approximately, on or about [XXX], while driving our Chev Silverado, VIN as noted [XXX] ) started to experience transmission issues when i started from a stop sign and it started hesitating upon acceleration, jerking (gears not meshing correctly every time i had to stop). This included delayed engagement of gears, roughing shifting, slight slipping of gears, at times i could smell a burning like smell, (No leaks noticed on transmission anywhere and no warning lights coming on to warn about Transmission problems). On Jan 23rd, 2026, i took it to B&F automotive had mechanic check fluid level and do drive test with me. Fluid found to be good. I could hear a slight sound like high pitch sound at times, only last few seconds randomly). Mechanic suggested i put some fuel system cleaner in and 90 Octane to hopefully clear the system. dealer also suggested this just as a suggestion though they found no apparent issues during prior service oil change I just had dealer do a 27-point inspection with oil change and they did not notice issues. Since purchase of truck in 2019, from dealer, all services have been done only by dealer (Woodland Motors). we had bought extending service warranty with vehicle. According to dealer, it just expired Dec 2025. I currently have appointment to have dealer inspect it on Monday Jan 25th, 2026, at 1pm concerning our complaint of drive train issues. Current mileage is approx. 63, 060 miles. on advise of mechanic, i called dealer right away and set the above appoint. I explained to dealer rep that this will cause me financial hardship as i am [XXX]. i do maintain a maintenance file with all service records since purchase. My wife was driving home after picking up my daughter from a nearby school around 3:30pm on Thursday 1/22/2026. She was driving down a road maybe at 35mph and while her foot was on the accelerator the car did a hard brake though there's nothing in front of her nor is the adaptive cruise on. She didn't hit any button and was taken by surprise along with my daughter. Luckily the car behind her was far away and didn't hit them. We haven't yet informed the dealer. This has happened before and the car has about 3900 miles on it.

On 1/21/26 traveling on a 4 lane divided highway, vehicle stalled, several warning lights came on and vehicle came to a complete stop in driving lane. Vehicle locked in park and could not put vehicle in neutral to push it out of highway. Several vehicle swerved to avoid and until tow truck came blocked a lane. It was about 3:30pm fortunately. So vehicle was visible and no accidents to our knowledge occurred. Thai created a dangerous traffic situation. It was caused by a fuel pump control module Whig was repaired 2 days later at local Chevy dealer. We were advised there were no recalls on this part but it is a common problem. GM should somehow find a solution and repair said problem

The EPS malfunctions and turns off during normal driving operations at random intervals. Happens more when temperature outside is below 50 degrees. This has made it difficult to steer and has almost caused me to get in an accident on multiple occasions

Our 2017 High Country 1500 Chevy Silverado is garage-kept and has very low mileage (73k). But it has the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system, which just caused lifter failure, thus causing catastrophic engine damage. In research, we discovered newer models with the AFM have been recalled for this exact problem. Unfortunately, our model truck with the AFM has not been recalled, despite the fact that the problem and damage are the same.

I am the owner of a January 2021 6.2 liter Chevy Silverado 1500. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle. Oil pressure control solenoid, many no starts, failure to starts, engine lights, oil lights. Truck started to use an excessive amount of oil before scheduled oil changes. The engine sometimes hesitate and fails to accelerate. The engine became noisy. My mechanic started that the engine is noisy and the oil pressure is at 15 lbs. They said it will need a replacement engine that is not covered under my expired power train warranty. The mechanic stated it's not a matter of if it will go, is a matter of when We are a family of 5 and this is our family vehicle. We feel very uncomfortable driving this vehicle with our family knowing the engine is going to fail at any time while driving. This is a heartbreaking expense that I don't believe that we should have to pay for. We have always maintained our vehicle and have never abused it.
