The instrument cluster and center console display intermittently appears to lose power, although in at least one incidence, the back-up camera display still worked while in reverse. Without instruments it is impossible to determine speed which can be hazardous. The vehicle is scheduled to be looked over by the dealer on 8/21/26. To my knowledge, there have not been any symptoms or warning signs prior to any of the incidents where a power loss occurred.

Service Air Bag light is on and won’t go off. Car was never in an accident or anything done for this light to be on so I’m a bit confused. Car has been inspected and looked over only issue is the service air bag light on the dash which came on after my battery completely died in my car. I bought a new battery car still drives normal and all is good other then the light still being on which I figured would have went away by now.

My vehicle is a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu, VIN [XXX]. It is showing recall N262551720 (NHTSA 26V212) concerning the rearview camera. My rearview camera is currently clear and functioning normally, with no distortion or blank screen. I am requesting that NHTSA review whether my specific VIN is actually part of the affected population for this recall and whether the recall should apply to my vehicle. 2020 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Corona, CA
While driving at highway speed, my vehicle developed a serious transmission problem. At approximately 75 mph, it suddenly lost the ability to maintain speed and dropped to about 55 mph despite throttle input. Engine RPM increased significantly and the vehicle had greatly reduced propulsion. Normal operation temporarily returned after the vehicle was shut off and restarted. The vehicle has also experienced harsh shifting, vibration, limp-mode behavior, a check-engine light, and I reported a momentary wheel-lock event. These symptoms create a safety concern because an unexpected loss of propulsion or abnormal transmission behavior at freeway speeds can increase the risk of a collision. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Chevrolet dealer. The dealer documented transmission-related diagnostic codes including P0700, P0970, P0968, and P0711. The dealer's repair order specifically referenced GM program N242454441-03, described transmission control-valve wear and pressure loss, and recommended replacement of the valve body. A separate repair estimate included the valve-body assembly and related transmission service parts. Despite the dealer recommending valve-body replacement, GM/dealer coverage was denied primarily because P0747 was not present at the time of diagnosis. I am reporting this because I am concerned that transmission control-valve/valve-body deterioration may cause harsh shifting, reduced propulsion, limp mode, or other safety-related symptoms before or without P0747 being stored. I am asking NHTSA to review whether vehicles with the same underlying valve-body failure may remain on the road because the specific qualifying diagnostic code is not present during a dealer scan. The vehicle and transmission are available for further inspection if requested.

2016 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN- Arlington, TX
The transmission failed suddenly and without warning. When I Went to pull out from a stop sign with cross traffic doing 55 mph, the vehicle shuddered and stopped pulling. We barely had enough momentum to get out of the way of oncoming traffic at the last second. The oncoming traffic had to brake and honked. After reading online, this is a common issue with the 6l80 transmission torque converters being a failure point and the fluid temperature being too high. Gm has a service bulletin for a lower temp bypass valve but there is no recall and these units are failing by the tens of thousands.

The telematics control module in this vehicle failed. A dealer diagnostic scan on 03/09/2026 at 67,839 miles documented the following active and history codes: U0198 Lost Communication with Telematics Module, reported independently by the Radio, Body Control Module, and Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module; U0499 Invalid Data Received from Telematics Module, reported by the Engine Control Module; U1962 Unable to Authenticate Serial Data Message; B1A1F Ethernet Bus 4 (+) Circuit Open with a Low Voltage/High Temperature symptom; and P00FF Body Control Module Requested MIL Illumination, listed as Current. As a result, the check engine light is commanded on. All OnStar functions are inoperative, including Automatic Crash Response and Emergency SOS, which are safety systems. The OnStar button has no illumination at all. Remote functions and vehicle connectivity are dead. No warning message or notification of a module fault was ever displayed in the vehicle. The wiring harness failed causing erratic and unpredictable behavior at 65 MPH on this 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with 77,500 miles on the odometer. General Motors no longer makes the wiring harness and there are none available in the market. This otherwise flawless truck (for which I paid $40,000 at a reseller in 2024) is essentially now totaled (undrivable) and GM will not take any responsibility or provide any other remedy beside $750 toward the purchase of a brand new truck.
