2025 CHEVROLET EQUINOX EV- Cowan Heights, CA
The telematics module has failed on approx. [XXX] and due to a large scale amount of GM vehicles having this same failure the replacement parts are unavailable. My research has found that this module failure has been a problem since at least February 2025 and now in December the parts are still on backorder for each failure. I purchased this car for my [XXX] daughter and now that this module has failed I am unable to track the vehicle and the vehicle's mapping system is useless, along with the ability to locate nearby charging stations. Additionally, the OnStar system is disabled and that is a safety issue. When we took the car into the dealership, they were very accommodating and diagnosed the issue quickly. This was in part due to the fact that my daughter is only [XXX] and cannot be provided a loaner vehicle or rental for age related requirements. I am unable to swap cars with my daughter since I drive a very large truck for work. So, basically we are stuck with a vehicle that has a faulty telematics module for un uncertain amount of time (Dealership expected 6 weeks) all while GM continues to produce new vehicles with the parts it is receiving and not honoring those who have already purchased a vehicle and should have priority to parts under both the warranty itself and the fact that this is a safety related issue. Also, the fact that this has not become a recall or at least a part that needs to be inspected for potential premature failure is unacceptable. GM appears to have zero ability to rectify this in a reasonable amount of time and instead is putting it on the backs of their customers while they continue benefitting from new cars sales with the parts stock that are available. 2019 CHEVROLET EQUINOX- Sterling Heights, MI
In FMVSS 138, it says that the tire pressure monitoring system will warn drivers of under inflated tires. My TPMS system failed on my MY19 Chevrolet Equinox around 49,000 miles and no longer warns me of underinflated tires for all four tires. To fix it I would have to pay out of pocket costs starting at $732, per the dealership, on a safety critical system that should not fail at 6 years/49,000 miles. There is no recall issued after a check of my VIN. Since 1974, the OEM has had a responsibility to provide a free remedy for safety defects and noncompliance. In 2015, the free remedy was changed from 10 years to 15 years by the FAST Act.

2005 CHEVROLET MALIBU- Herculaneum, MO
Power steering failing. As I was driving down the road I got a power steering message and chime. No dash light came on and I lost all ability to turn my vehicles steering wheel. I went to add power steering fluid just to learn that my 2005 Chevy Malibu maxx LS comes equipped with EPS(electric power steering). Then I check on NHTSA for safety recalls and there is a safety recall for the Chevy Malibu maxx including the 2005 Chevy Malibu maxx. I was pulling safely out of store parking lot into traffic and I had to hit the ditch luckily I didn't get T-boned. Thanks to my reaction time being fast I made it safely outta the road. I am available to have car inspected if needed. It just started on 11/23/2025 I bought the car used a year prior in Nov. 2024.

2023 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- CYPRESS, TX
was crossing an intersection when the truck suddenly and without warning stopped (engine). Unable to shift the truck into neutral in order to move the truck out of the flow of traffic. This is because the truck has the electronic shifter which requires the truck to be running in order to shift. There is not a manual override. So basically the truck was in the middle of an intersection with cars and trucks weaving around it until the tow truck arrived. But since the truck wasn’t able to be shifter into neutral the tow truck had to maneuver around to the front and “drag the truck onto a flat bed in order to clear the vehicle. Also it turns out that there is a major issue with the fuel pump module on these trucks and the tow truck driver said he has seen this happen a lot and very common. As a result these types of issues are likely to result in a near of fatal accident in the near future.

2025 CHEVROLET COLORADO- Phoenix, AZ
My 2025 Chevrolet Colorado continues to experience roof denting caused by the vehicle’s structural weakness in the roof panel when exposed to normal car-wash air dryers. This problem began in 2023 with my previous model year Colorado, and it has carried into the 2025 model despite GM having issued an internal service advisory in 2023 describing the need to install additional roof braces to prevent this exact failure. GM acknowledged the issue two years ago but did not incorporate the recommended reinforcement into manufacturing. As a result, even routine exposure to the forced air from automated car-wash dryers causes the roof to bend inward. I have had this inspected multiple times, and the root cause has been consistently identified as inadequate roof support. The problem has not been corrected at the design or production level, and dealerships are not taking further action. The roof denting raises concerns about structural rigidity, potential weakening over time, and whether the roof would perform correctly in rollover or impact scenarios. This is an ongoing defect affecting normal use of the vehicle, with no resolution provided by GM despite documented awareness since 2023.
