    - MO, MO

electrical, drivetrain, powertrain. While driving the vehicle a message popped up on the speedometer saying service battery chargeing system and battery saver mode. the is the second time that those messages have come up in the four years of ownership with the first time being in 2024. The second issue we have had with this vehicle was injectors going bad and causing a bad misfire making driveability rough. We have gone through three O2 sensors in the past 4 years. we have replaced the alternator and are fixing to replace it again. the driverside axle seal leaked. transmission slips bad. there is a current random misfire. Back in may of 2025 we were driving to Florida from missouri and had to slam on the brakes and when we released the brake the car refused to move and when i pressed the gas harder there was a loud bang like we had been hit but it was like the brakes had locked up completely. It shudders bad when starting. Two months ago the steering locked up while driving. Vehicle has been inspected several times by the dealer we bought it from but driving this vehicle is becoming my families worst nightmare.

    - Houston, TX

I purchased a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 Duramax Deisel truck. At 9500 miles the truck started making popping and loud grinding noises and would shake while driving it. I barely made it to the dealership on August 6th 2026 I took it to Group 1 Chevrolet where I bought it in Houston,Texas and on August 8th was told that they need to replace the engine and do not have an estimated time for repair.

  • 2022 CHEVROLET BOLT EUV
    - Deerfield, MA

The principal defect involves the rear-view backup camera, which has repeatedly failed despite multiple repair attempts and three new cameras. I bought a used EUV on 12/14/24 with around 25000 miles and on 6/6/25 at 31730 miles it went in for the first attempt to fix the camera. In addition, other safety-related systems have also failed or have become unreliable, including the automatic windshield wipers, the lane-keeping/lane departure warning system, and the gap adjust function. Moreover, there is no warning chime if the seatbelts are not fastened. The sunroof was made to work on the second repair attempt; not a safety issue, but indicative of the systemic failures of the car. The vehicle has been returned to the dealership on multiple occasions for repair attempts, once from 3/7-5/29/26. Despite their best efforts, the problems have not been fixed by the service department. The safety features do not function consistently to this day and the dealership shop has given up on me, despite the car being under warranty, recommending I seek out a lemon lawyer. GM is offering the boilerplate $300/2000 split. This solves nothing. GM’s proposal would require me either to continue driving a vehicle whose safety systems I cannot rely upon, or to absorb a substantial financial loss because of defects that were not of my making. I would have no choice but to hang onto a vehicle that I do not feel safely confident driving and that cannot be traded without suffering a significant financial loss. My goal is to own a safe, reliable vehicle that performs with safety features as represented when I purchased it. On 7/25, camera out as usual, I backed into a fire hydrant positioned very low into the ground, which I could not see when I turned my head. My first accident in 55 years of driving. I can send numerous videos showing the safety measures working and then not working in the same few minutes, along with the documentation of attempted repairs.

  • 2021 CHEVROLET TAHOE
    - OFallon, MO

I was driving on the highway and my car lost power and then had to shut down. I am now getting error code P129F. which is a known recall for the fuel pump control module. When I put in my VIN, it doesn’t show my car part of it, but it is a 2021 Tahoe experiencing the exact same issue and getting the same error code that is part of the recall. I also read that it is part of the federal emissions warranty, which is eight year 80,000 miles. My car has 59,000 miles on it and I verify that it’s still under warranty from that standpoint. I want to take it into the dealership on Monday, but I need to know what my options are to get it repaired for free under this recall since currently my car is not coming up via this VIN under this recall

    - Gleason, TN

Headlight Issue While driving at night on a dark country road the headlights all of a sudden reduced visibility to about 5 feet and had a blacked out dead spot (like a dark shelf). We had to drive roughly 25 miles with this limited visibility which was extremely dangerous and nerve racking. The visibility range improved the next day but the dead spot (shelf) is still visible and visibility is still poor and limited to about 100 feet. This still makes night driving very difficult and dangerous. I contacted dealership regarding issue and all they did was raised the headlights 3 inches. This only raised the dead spot up a little bit but is still visible. I notified them a second time and no action was taken because there was no recall for this issue on vehicle. In 2022 models there was a recall for the exact same issue.

  • 2024 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE
    - Bradenton, FL

I am reporting a serious safety incident involving my 2024 Chevrolet Traverse RS AWD, with approximately 34,378 miles. On or about [XXX], while the vehicle was being driven near Sarasota Florida at approximately 25 mph, it suddenly lost propulsion and all electrical power. The instrument panel, displays and vehicle electrical systems went completely dark. The vehicle was completely dead and would not restart. Police subsequently jump-started it, but the vehicle’s systems did not initially operate normally. This vehicle previously experienced another complete electrical-power failure while parked overnight, and the dealership has a record of that incident. Following the in-motion shutdown, the dealership performed a complete software flash using USB and stated that a software problem may have caused a parasitic battery draw. I understand how a parasitic draw could discharge the battery while the vehicle is parked. However, I have not received an adequate explanation of why the vehicle lost all electrical power while the engine was running and the charging system should have been supplying power. I am requesting that General Motors open a formal product-safety case, review the dealership’s diagnostic and programming records, determine the complete cause of the in-motion shutdown, and provide written confirmation of the tests and repairs performed. Please provide me with the GM case number and escalate the matter for appropriate technical or field review.
